The light tan is more yellow than I like and you can see the seams a bit more easily, nothing to shy away from but just note if you're trying to pull off something expensive. For me, the dark brown was perfect for what I envisioned. The almond shaped toe is contemporary and the shaft held its structure. They were very comfortable and I will be wearing them again.
