I don’t typically write reviews, but I am going to start with the good and then the BAD! First and foremost this will hold a 17 inch laptop with ease and be comfortable for hours. Along with fitting my large Alienware M17 r5 it allows for full use of your mouse. Shipping was quick and non of the packaging was damaged. I was hoping I could rationalize the price but I honestly can’t after seeing some of the manufacturing defects. When you’re paying over 150 dollars for a lapdesk you expect it to be top notch and absolutely no issues. Well to say the least the fit and finish of this product is horrible!! For instance I paid 30 dollars for a lapdesk that wasn’t freak for gaming and such but I worked. But for 30 dollars the fit and finish was 10 times what the cybot is. I don’t think I will be returning. But I sure hope Nerdytech will do something to make this right. Or at-least drop the price by 60 dollars or more for future buyers. - Edit 03-22-23 I contacted nerdytec customer support and was pleasantly surprised by their great customer service. That made all of my problems with my particular model go away. It was fairly fast response time knowing the time differences. And the customer support agent I spoke too was extremely kind and helpful. The more and more I play on the cybot the better it gets. I love being able to play in bed or on the couch and how cool my laptop stays. If you need the end-all solution to awkward seating, hot laps and laptops, and clanky tv trays look no further. ... show more

    • Don’t knock it until you try it
I have a horrible back, and I work best from a bed. This was an impulse purchase for me, willing to try it, and if it didn’t work out, return it. It comes with three main pieces. The two side pieces need to air out overnight to expand properly. The main heavier piece is the meant to go on top of the side pieces, with you inbetween. I thought the idea of it was stupid at first, but I gave it a try and almost immediately realized its utility. It’s like a fully functional desk, with room for a laptop, keyboard, and mouse. It also frees up your lap, and there’s still plenty of space to move your legs around. I have a 13” and 16” laptop and both work perfectly fine on this desk, with plenty of room for a mouse. You can slide it forward and backward to get in and out of it. Just make sure you have a non-slip mousepad (or use the one included) as the wooden top is a bit slippery. The two sides are pretty well made. They can be vacuumed, are light enough to carry (albeit a bit bulky), and have so far survived eight cats. If you’re worried about size, it is possible to use this on a queen size bed with a bed mate. It does take up a little more than half the bed width. With a king size, this thing should be no problem.     • Great couch desk with some caveats
I spend most of free time sitting in front of a computer either playing games, writing code, or do one of the other myriad of hobbies I have that requires a computer. I was tired of spending all of my time sitting at my desk and wanted something that was comfortable and gave me enough room to sit on my couch while doing things on my laptop. Over the years I have owned a lot of lap desks and this is by far the best one. That being said it is not perfect. One of my side cushions didn't quite raise to the same level as my other side. It isn't super noticeable when using the desk but it is when looking at the cushions. I even took the case off both cushions and steamed them and that did help inflate them but it looks like one side just wasn't cut to the same height as the other because they are both fully inflated. I am still happy with the desk and plan on keeping it regardless of this issue, but be aware this isn't an uncommon problem with this desk. The only other minor complaint I have is it's kind of a pain to get both cushions situated, then set the desktop on it and adjust when I recline my couch. It's not a deal breaker, it only takes 1-2 minutes to do but if you get up and down a good amount it becomes kind of tedious. Obviously, there isn't much they can do about that problem, its the nature of the design, but if you are someone that gets up from the couch constantly it might be something to consider. ... show more

really so happy i ordered this. it’s exactly what i was hoping for! it makes longer sessions of gaming so much more comfortable on my laptop. my arms and wrists feel supported, the laptop is elevated to a good height visually, and the ventilation slots are great for keeping my laptop from overheating. the level of functionality really makes it feel worth the cost! it did come with adhesive for the mouse pad, however i didn’t find the adhesive necessary as the rubber bottom of the mouse pad was enough on its own to resist slipping. overall it looks sleek, and is easy to assemble as well. i’m so pleased with my couch master cybot, and actually will be buying some of the accessories to accompany it in the future ... show more

    • The last lap desk you need
I previously had a cheap folding metal lap desk to use my laptop in bed. It was never very good. There was no place for my mouse and it was awkward to get in and out of bed once set up. Once I accidentally stepped on it and broke one of the legs, I knew it was time for a replacement. This is the lap desk I didn't know I needed. I took a chance based on reviews and I'm glad I did. It ships in three pieces, two foam side supports and a generous wood work surface. This makes it very easy to set up and take down, though it will take up a fair amount of room when stored. It fits under a bed just fine, though. The vent holes allow plenty of circulation for a gaming laptop, there's plenty of space for a mouse, and the slit at the top right is perfect for your phone or tablet. Most importantly, it sits at a comfortable height that greatly reduces wrist, neck, and arm strain (YMMV depending on your size). ... show more
