It's pricey, yes. But I bought this for my grandson who was constantly trying to get onto the couch, and failing because he just wasn't big enough yet. He absolutely loves having his very own recliner, and the cup holder! At 14 months old he could get up into all on his own! He isn't yet big enough to have started using the reclining feature, but this gets used on an almost daily basis and has held up to standing, pushing, pulling, and everything else a little toddler can throw at it - literally. It cleans up very easily, no discolouration when wiping it down with cleaner wipes. I got him his own remote (no batteries but he doesn't care) and velcroed it to the armrest and he just acts like his grandpa kicked back on game day! I cannot recommend this enough!

This little chair is beautiful. The leather is a very good quality and the chair is extremely sturdy. I have only one complaint. The chair is designed to recline by pushing back while seated. Any child small enough to use this chair as a recliner would never be able to push the chair back while sitting. The only way to get the chair to recline is to lift the footrest.
