  • *Almost* Family Weight Worker Placement?
Cosmoctopus got me on theme alone - it's quirky but actually has pretty interesting gameplay. For anybody who's played Worker Placement games before, this kind of turns the idea on it's head and has all players moving around a single piece one space at a time to land where you need to land. So there's a touch of a "take-that" element to the game, which definitely adds to the player interaction. The components are great quality, and I love that the solo mode allows you to develop your strategy. I think that the game goes a bit too long, but there are ways around that which my partner and I have always employed to keep the game at around an hour max. Big fan of this game - between the theme and the gameplay, it's a pretty competitive game with simple rules but a ton of layers. ... show more
