I normally don't write product reviews. However, I felt it would definitely be helpful in this situation to mention a few things about this ram. I picked up two of these, at separate times, for an intended Ryzen 9 5900x build. Price was decent, nothing to write home about, but as I was looking for RGB white sticks with a rating of 3600mhz(and Corsair branded), they worked. Out of the box they run at 2200mhz which is normal. You'll need to clock them up to 3600 and tighten the timings in the Bios(which is what I did) or Ryzen Master(which I have issues with, more in the review). I was able to get the following speeds. 3600Mhz(1800mhz DDR) 15-19-16-36-56 @ 1.38v PROS: Firstly, if you want clean looking ram with RGB, these look slick. They're quite bright as the 3rd picture shows, but aren't overpowering with the colors I set(2nd picture) so they're not obnoxious for me. They also clocked better than I was expecting (I was expecting to get 3600 @ 18-19-19-36-56) but they beat that expectation. I have had no PERFORMANCE issues so far with these that I can mention. So far, they're great. I ran Memtest for 10 hours (Disclaimer - I had to run it multiple times due to the limitations with Memtest Free.) and came back with 0 errors. CONS: This section is why I'm really writing this. Firstly, it is extremely important to note that there are multiple versions of this that ship. My first set was version 3.31, noted on the back of each DIMM, which is a Micron chip. These worked fine for months before I ordered the second set. The second set I received from a direct reorder option however.... That set was version 8.31. This came as an obscure chip mfg I had not heard of, Khana or something similar. These were problematic, I could not get them to 3600 with the specific timings, and I had issues with the XMP preset on this board. I ended up submitting a RMA swap for a defective product via Amazon (KUDOS for the easy as pie return/exchange process) and was lucky enough that my replacement was version 3.31. The Micron chips seem to be the stellar set here. If you are ordering this set, I HIGHLY recommend checking your version if you encounter any issues with meeting the XMP speeds or stability issues. 2nd CON: This is a specific scenario for me. These are NOT on my QVL for my X570 Aorus Master. They work fine, but I have had boot issues with these installed. HOWEVER, my bios error codes are all over the place, from D7 to D0 to C3(not an error code but I got stuck boot looping here once). I had issues with this board before this ram and ended up RMAing the board, but this is the only ram I've tested with the renewed board and I'm not able to test another set so.... could be the ram, could be the cpu itself.... could be a bad board. Just something I wanted to note in case you also experience issues. Final thoughts: I'm pretty satisfied so far. I haven't done any performance tests to check the "speed" of this kit. But it's still early and generally, if the clocks are there, and it's stable after 10+ hours....Should be fine, right? The price is average, but for white Dominator RGB ram, I'm not complaining. I would recommend this ram (Micron sticks only) for anyone seeking seemingly great clocks with equally clean aesthetics. Thanks for reading, hope it helps! ... show more

    • Amazing RAM, if the LEDs aren't faulty..

So, I ended up returning this RAM 5 times in 5 months before finally getting a set that didn't have at least 1 faulty LED. So far, I've made it 1.5 months without an LED going bad, so I think I'm in the clear...I sure hope, because I'm outside of the return window now! Out of those 5 sticks, only 1 set was faulty in other ways and would cause boot issues. Other than that, all other sets overclocked to XMP specs (set manually though) without a single hiccup. It was extremely frustrating building the computer of my dreams and having everything work flawlessly except 1 or 2 STUPID faulty LEDs...but we're past that now, right, CORSAIR?! The lights on these are exceptional and definitely look great. My only gripe is that they bleed into one another. You can control this by choosing not to use certain colors (white primarily), as well as turning brightness down lower. But, with fine-tuning, you can make these bad boys look amazing in any computer with super-clean LEDs *cough* when they aren't faulty. There really isn't anything else to say about these. They are Dominator, and anyone who knows about these know they're fast af and generally perform without flaw. Yet again, I'm extremely please with my set of Dominators and these are by far my favorite RAM sticks I've ever purchased; the clean, black look goes absolutely perfect with my blacked-out minimal RGB build and I couldn't have made a better purchase...it just took a few times :D https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MyFQYg ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The ram works great, which is a given when it comes to ram, especially on an Intel build just remember to enable XMP in your bios, if you don't know how to do it, just look it up for your particular motherboard as it may be in a different spot depending on the brand. But why you're looking at this ram is probably for the RGB, when building a new rig RGB is just a given at this point, and I personally don't mind it and actually enjoy it. And Corsair has made it so easy to do so, while other Corsair RGB products may be a bit messy when coming to wires this product of course has none of that, so none of the drawbacks. Now when it comes to using the software you only need one app, ICUE, which is exceptionally easy to use, there are tons of presets of tons of ways to customize them even choosing to apply a particular preset to an individual dimm or even a select about of LEDs. Plus there are scenes which control your entire systems RGB (given other components support icue) with a lot of the same presets as individual components, and any presets you use or customize are automatically saved. Icue is a great app and works with many different manufacturers RGB products, so if you want to get into the world of rgb best bet is to get something that works with icue so you don't have to jump around to multiple apps to get things synchronized, and best bet is just to go with Corsair. ... show more
