I ordered this polisher to have for the convenance of a cordless polisher. Upon taking this out I was very impressed with the heft and build materials of this. it looks to have high end materials and looks and feels very sturdy. The plastics and rubberized grip all appear to be of a high quality at a (literal) fraction of the price of big box name brand. If you are considering the cost savings, this imo is the biggest bang for buck of a high quality random orbital polisher I have ever seen. THe operation is excellent. it has six speeds with a clear digital numerical readout. The orbital action is indeed random, though i don't know if you would call it true random, it does do a non concentric circular motion. The balance is very good. The vibration is very low even at full speed. The power of this is very good. It is reported to have a brushless motor and i have no reason to doubt that claim. The power is excellant. I have a set of oem dewalt batteries and they all work perfect with this polisher. negatives of this polisher may be it's nota perfect fit-finish of the build quality. there are some signs of a rough plastic molding around the vent holes but considering the cost savings, a few minor aesthetics is no big deal. overall i am very very happy and would recommend this.

I'm incredibly surprised at the quality of this tool. It doesn't feel the most premium in the world, and it is a little unbalanced when a battery is installed, but, the different speeds work flawlessly, and honestly, I don't want a lot of head weight on a polisher anyway. The accompanying pads work quite well, as does the hook and loop system on the tool itself. I'm also impressed with how little power it seems to drain when in use. Using the same batteries on an angle grinder, I might be lucky to get 30 minutes of use, but this polisher seems to run for well over an hour with an 18V battery. Overall I'm very happy with this cordless polisher.

You get quite a bit for your money with this set, and it does what it says it’s gonna do. It has a decent quality feel to it and it’s a good value if you need something to do the job but don’t want to pay a ton of money. It’s surprisingly versatile, and can be used for a lot of different projects.

This is a very complete car polishing set with multiple polishing bonnets included in the package. The polisher itself is very well built and solid. It runs smoothly even at high speed. I really like that this cordless polisher uses a battery that I already have. Too many non-primary brand devices have their own batteries (and chargers) that are not compatible with any other devices. I have taken to writing the name of the device on the batteries and chargers for such devices with a white paint pen. I like the convenient bag, big enough to hold the polisher and all the accompanying accessories and no more. With a price point well below that of the name branded polishers, ability to accept the standard Dewalt batteries and an excellent quality, this is a great way to tune up your ride.

Very surprised at the quality and feel of this buffer. Far better than you normally get with a 3rd party tool. It has good weight and balances well; the grips are rubberized and feel good in the hands. It fits all sorts of DeWalt 20volt batteries, and the bag appears to be made for the buffer. Many times, you get a bag that is too big where you could actually fit 2 tools or too small and the zipper is ready to come apart. This one is right. Everything fits very well. The bag is well made. With 6 speeds to choose from, this buffer is built to handle most jobs. If I were going to critique one thing it would be the on/off button. Nowhere in the little manual does it say you have to hold the button for a couple seconds to turn power on or off. A quick press of the button will switch speeds, but the power requires you to hold the button for a couple seconds. Don't get me wrong, this is a good thing. I'm just picking on the manual which doesn't say it. This is a really good value if you are a DeWalt battery collector and need a buffer. 5 stars.

I can't get over the fact that it does not save the previous settings. Every single time you polish an area and then stop, you will have to set the speed all over again. This is a massive oversight by the designers. I also think speed 1 is a bit too high for some tasks, I would much prefer an adjustable dial for fine tuning of the speed. The comfort and balance of the tool will vary greatly depending on the size of the batter you choose to use. Larger batteries will tire your wrists quickly since the weight is on the end. A smarter design would have the weight over the top of the polisher. I will this for small jobs but it does not beat out my corded polisher.

I'm really happy with the overall value of this buffer. It's light, it's got a decent set of workable speeds, and it comes with a heck of a lot of good extras (LIKE A BAG!). For the current price $55 at the time of my review, this is a top-notch tool to have in your detailing bag. I used this to remove some light scratches on my car and then detailed the entire remaining surface with it. I always hated having to drag a cord around with me for my old polisher - so this is a big improvement. I will say that these types of tools eat batteries. It took my 4 5AH batteries to fully detail the car. That's not the tools fault, and it's actually a little less hungry than my orbital sanders. I have a lot of these batteries sitting around, so it's not an issue for me, but if you don't - I would suggest having a fast charger available and working the car in sections. I'm really happy with this kit and I think the value and quality are equal. The button cover on mine has come a little loose after a few uses, but that hasn't affected the functionality of the tool. Overall I recommend this polisher if you're looking to bring your car detailing to the next level and have the batteries available.
