When I dropped my suitcase once again from the trunk of a rental car, I heard a crack and noticed a slight wobble on a wheel. The outer shell was cracked. After a brief disappointment I noticed later that I had had this suitcase for well over two years, and used it virtually every week, fully loaded with around 50 lbs, on both domestic and international flights. This thing worked like a charm, the four wheels never so much as squeaked, and it still got my luggage home safely on its last flight. The two big compartments hold a lot, and it's the perfect size for transporting either several weeks worth of clothes or miscellaneous equipment. If the airline allowed, you could load it up with even more than 50 lbs. Nothing broke until now, the handles, the zipper, everything is of great quality! I got a different color this time, I liked the bright orange in particular for it's visibility, but it was not available at the time. The wine red is but beautiful, too. We bought this bag during our recent travel. When arriving at the airport we really felt like the airline was making any excuse to force you to check in your bag and trying to make everyone check in their bags (reason unknown). During the check in, the airline was really trying to force everyone to check in their bags and did make bags fall in to the size test frame crooked to try and say the bag was too large. But this bag just fell straight in, so they really could not claim it was too big. Light weight, frame good. Really recommend. The pipes holding the retractable handle do protrude into the bag, taking some space inside the bag. But I went to many stores trying to find a bag that did not do that (to save space) but was unable to fine one. So this seems to be the norm. ... show more

I first bought this suitcase as a 24โ€™ inch thinking that it would be the same size than the one I had when I came to the US 10 months ago. Unfortunately, it was way smaller, so I sent it back and ordered the 28'inch even if I was scared that the airlines company would consider it as too big (I will travel with American Arilines and British Airways, and they have a different size policy ). However, I just compared it to my old one and these are the exact same size, so it is just perfect ! The material doesnโ€™t look cheap and it seems very resistant.
