I ordered a Small. For reference, my chest size is about 39 inches with waist line 31 or 32 inches, height 5ft5in. Medium was too large so I returned it. I consider myself skinny but packed on weight in all the wrong places (ie belly and chest fat). This is the first sweater vest that fit me just right. It widened my shoulders and kept my waist small as it's supposed to do. The fabric is excellent. It isn't wrinkly, stretchy but stays in shape; close to the body but not to the point that it will highlight one's unwanted features so that you'll look like a lumpy mess like other sweater vests tend to do. Also, if you have a belly like I do, this works best with shirts that can be tucked out. If you pair it with tucked in dress shirts, you will look bloated and lumpy. The only flaw I see is that the v-neck isn't as wide as in their picture. In my picture, if I put a tie on, the tie isn't going to be as visible like in their picture.

I ordered this to compliment my son’s hair color for senior year (burgundy). He looks really nice and professional for one of his senior photos. He’s normally in a full suit , but with this vest/tie combo it really hit the mark. Great buy!
