I usually wear a 48R in suit coats and have to get them tailored in. I got a XL and it fit perfect. My only complaint is the shoulders are a little wide. But for the money it fit better than expected and I would certainly recommend this coat for a light weight option for a casual event.

I ordered according to my measurements and the sizing chart, and the jacket fits—just—but it's tight when buttoned, even though (according to my measurements and the info on the size chart) there should be plenty of room. Works pretty well if left casually unbuttoned, and it's a reminder to lose a few inches, but it's a little unsatisfying.
