I purchased these size 8 tennis shoes for my 4-year-old daughter, as she needs close-toed shoes for preschool. I previously bought the same pair in size 7 last year when she started 3-year-old preschool, and I was impressed enough to buy them again! They are true to size, making them a reliable choice as her feet grow. One of the standout features of these shoes is how easy they are for little ones to put on by themselves. Even at age 3, my daughter was able to slip them on without any help, which gave her a sense of independence that toddlers love. The shoes held up remarkably well despite nearly daily use on the playground and blacktop. My daughter can be quite rough on shoes - constantly scuffing them up - but these lasted the entire school year! We originally bought the lilac pair, which has a subtle sparkle that excited her when they arrived. The sparkles were a pleasant surprise and added a fun touch. This year, I opted for the light gray pair, and I expect them to hold up just as well. The only downside to the previous pair was the hook & loop strap - it became frayed after a year of heavy use, making it harder to stay strapped. However, considering how much my daughter wore them, I think this is to be expected. Overall, for the price, these shoes are a fantastic buy - durable, cute, and easy for young children to wear on their own. Highly recommended for any parent with a preschooler!

My daughter loves wearing these shoes, and they seem very comfortable for her. The subtle glitter in the material is such a nice touch. The tongue makes it hard for her to put on herself, but that's due to her age and ability, the shoes are perfect.

These are terrific sneakers for busy toddlers. I bought my 2YO daughter the rainbow ones, and they're perfect for daycare. The reinforced toe box is good to prevent holes, as my kids have a tendency to drag their feet on their riding toys and tricycles. They're flexible and let the kids' feet breathe, so they're not super sweaty when I take them off. Also, the rainbow color is really cute, and the price is great! The material is lightweight and breathable, so don't expect these to keep kids' feet super warm, or to keep out the water--they will get wet from running around in the dewy grass or in the mud. They're better suited for play on dry and warm-ish days. On sizing, I found that they run true to size--not small, like several other reviewers noted. My daughter wears a 7-8 and the 8 fits just fine, with a little wiggle room at the end.

These shoes are great, this is our 2nd pair and we'll probably buy more when we need the next size. They seem to fit my toddler well. They have good grip on the bottom. They seem durable and have gone throught the washing machine. The loop on the back made my daughter able to learn how to get her shoes on by herself at about 24mo old.

I purchased these sneakers for my 4.5 year old. Not only do they have TONS of colors/patterns but the sizes and prices are just as great. My daughter has wide feet that are on the thicker side (think Fred flinstone), these fit her perfectly. Not tight and not loose. The quality is fantastic for the price, and with how quickly childrens feet grow, these would and will always be my go to shoe. 10/10 will purchase again.

Fit is as expected. Materials are soft and the shoes are lightweight. Also easy for a 5 year old to put on. Only complaint would be that the velcro strap wraps across the top of the shoe in the opposite direction as all the other velcro shoes I've come across so far, so has a small habit of being confusing initially for little who are learning to put their shoes on the right feet and correctly.
