I remember getting my first pair - which were purple hi tops - when I was in the 6th grade! I was so short that I had to have my mom cut my jeans off so I could roll them up and show off my new shoes! I loved them so much back then, that I actually asked for a couple more pairs in green, red and white! They weren't this expensive back then, or I may not have even been able to get the one pair! Now, I am so thankful for these! Fit just like they were made for me, and I didn't expect anything less from Converse! Adorable with jeans and leggings! I usually wear an 8 so I got an 8 and they are huge. I probably could get away with a 7. I really like the color but they are just so big that even if I tie them tight they flop off in the back. Sad to say they are going back and I will look for them in a store where I can try them on before I get them. ... show more

    • Converse are converse if you have ever had a pair you know what I mean.
Don't need arch support but if I did these wouldn't be the shoes I would choose. Love converse, They are narrow but after wearing them a few times they do stretch after all they are canvas. They are true to size my shoe size is an 8, I ordered an 8 and they fit I probably couldn't have gone with a 1/2 size bigger for wiggle room but I wear regular thickness of socks, example hanes, fruit of the loom etc. and they fit fine. As we all have one foot a little bigger then the other my right foot is a little snug on my little toe but after I wear them for awhile they are fine for even walking around the mall for a few hours. The color gray has a green sheen to it so they aren't true gray colored but close enough. ... show more

These are exactly as I wanted with the exception of one small detail, which I think has been discussed. In certain lighting, these do look more green than grey. While it isn't a problem for me personally, I do find it odd. Still, I've been wearing converse for years and years, and they're a good sturdy sneaker that lasts forever and is extremely comfortable right out of the box.     • Excellent shoe, but sizing is INCORRECT
This shoe is not sized in women's sizes. If you order an 8, even though it says "women's sizes" you will receive a MEN'S size 8. Otherwise great shoe, great service. Size down two full sizes if you are a woman.
