I LOVE THESE SHOES!! The first time I put them on, I thought they were going to be uncomfortable forever. But they turned out to break in the 3rd time I wore them! I truly believe the only reason they were uncomfortable for me at first, is because the first and only other time I had wore high top/high rise shoes, was whenever I was really young, so the feeling didn't affect me because babies don't care if they're uncomfortable 75% of the time. Though they were uncomfortable at first, they 1000000% got so so much better! Also, if your stuck on what color to get, (unless your at war with yourself over patters), I definitely recommend getting black AND white. Because what if you have an outfit you really want to wear, but then you realize, black would go better with it, or white would go better with it. Think smarter. Not harder.

My daughter loves these shoes for a casual shoe at school and on weekends. These were out-of-stock everywhere we looked, but thankfully available on Amazon. The chunky bottom look is apparently what is fashionable these days. My daughter convinced me to buy them for her after pointing out lots of other kids wearing the chunky bottom chucks while we were at the mall. I've owned many Converse / Chucks shoes over the years and these are really no different; same materials and fairly solid construction. Like all Chucks, they are essentially flat bottomed without any arch support. I would recommend treating the shoe with a shoe protectant or scotch guard product in order to keep the shoes easy to clean over time. Great overall purchase.

Has there ever been a time when Converse Allstars weren't a good shoe for back to school? My teen daughter loves hers and is very excited to have these, they fit her well and history shows they'll holdup for the entire year...as long as she doesn't grow out of them.

They're plain Chuck Taylors, so they look exactly how you expect them to look. A great, go-to canvas shoe. The platform adds a little somethin somethin, and it's surprisingly comfy to wear. Feels lightly cushioned. I wore them to a concert and was totally comfortable on my feet for hours.

Whatever you’re wearing, these shoes are gonna basically make your outfit that much better. These have even made me going to the grocery store in my pj’s at 12am look fly. they’re pretty much like air force ones in that aspect. mine are a little big, i’m a comfortable 9 and 8.5 is usually risky, but my 9 in this pair ran way large. so if you’re wary about these running large too, go half a size down from your normal size and you should be fine. going anywhere over a full size down would be too much.
