These are so cute and comfortable. My only complaint is that somehow one or two of the grommets have folded in half and it's happened on two other pairs of my converse and I'm not sure if it's a quality issue or if it's me.

Although converse shoes are famous for the fabric/ canvas shoe. The platform makes it very hard and uncomfortable to me. My foot is on the wider side and I felt like it was hanging off. They’re super cute. I do miss the tongue of the shoe that had a slot for laces so that you can adjust the shoe and stabilize the tongue. The value is not good as they would only work for taking a picture. I unfortunately had to return them. I’m not sure about the quality, because I didn’t keep them. They did not fit my wide foot high instep well. Traditional converse quality but the platform needs more cushioning. ... show more

I picked up the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Core Ox in black, size 9, because one never goes wrong with any sneaker that remains in fashion. The shoes indeed fitted true to size right out of the box and were fairly lightweight, although this flat sole is not by any means the most comfortable shoe for all-day wear. Quite literally, they go with everything from jeans to shorts, and the durability is on point with Converse. The cons are simply that they are not ideal for any activity that requires arch support or a lot of time on your feet. I usually wear a size 9 in shoes and ordered these in a 9 because I have wider feet and plantar fasciitis so I use orthotics for arch support. Definitely no arch support in these shoes so adding orthotics is the only way they're wearable for me. The original footbeds were pretty hard to remove but they are removeable so I was able to substitute my orthotics. Now they're very comfortable. Purchased in red and the red is a true red.
