This is a great everyday bag. The design is well thought out and it's relatively light weight given all the features. Five zippered compartments. 1. Small lower-front compartment. Good for quick access stuff. 2. Small pocket on the top-front is lined with fleece. Great for sunglasses and similar items. 3. Narrow compartment behind the front two that runs to the bottom of the bag. It has a two small inner-pockets and slots for pens. 4. Wide main compartment is behind that. It has thin padding at the bottom. Good for books and bulky items. 5. Laptop compartment is behind that (against your back). It doesn't go to the bottom of the bag; this means that you can just drop the laptop into the sleeve and it won't bang on the hard surface the bag is sitting on. It has a thin layer of padding against your back and between the compartment in front. There is padding on the back and the straps are ergonomically shaped. There are water bottle holders on both sides. It has two compression straps on each side that will help keep contents snug when the bag is not full or compact bulky items like clothes. They are positioned so as not to interfere with the zippers. I think these are probably unnecessary for this type of bag and contribute slightly to a cluttered look. I have the black version with black straps, so they are not very noticeable. I am not a fan of logos. However, the white Converse patch is easy to remove with a seam ripper.

I picked up the Converse Straight Edge Backpack because I wanted something that looked good, wasn’t overly bulky, and could handle my day-to-day essentials — and for the most part, that’s exactly what I got. Right away, I noticed the classic Converse vibe: clean lines, understated branding, and a style that works with practically any outfit. The storage and organization are solid. The backpack has a roomy main compartment that comfortably fits my laptop (with its own sleeve), books, folders, and whatever else I lug around. There are additional zippered pockets in the front and smaller sections that make it easy to keep things like my phone, wallet, and chargers in order, which I really appreciate. Comfort is another plus — the padded straps make it easy to carry even when it’s a bit heavy, and I rarely feel sore at the end of the day. Honestly, I’ve used it for school, commuting, and casual outings, and it’s held up well in all situations. That said, it’s not perfect. It’s not a massive backpack, so if you’re planning to haul tons of gear or bulky sports equipment regularly, it might feel a bit snug. Overall? I’m really happy with this backpack. It strikes a great balance between style and function, perfect for school, work, or everyday errands. If you want something reliable that looks good without being flashy, this is a great choice — and I’d recommend it to friends.

This is the kind of quality you expect from a brand like Converse. Good size for an adult or even a child 8 or older. Lots of compartments, excellent construction, heavy-duty fabric. Zippers work great, the backpack looks good (I got the black color), and it feels like it should last a long time.
