I ordered this bottle twice. The first time I was very satisfied. It has lasted me for more than six months. The second time it arrived very nicely, but it drips a lot and already has grooves from which it drips.

I drink a LOT of water (well over a gallon a day), so my wants with a hydration bottle aren't so much oriented toward "something I'll actually use, and frequently," but more "something I don't have to refill 10 times a day," and this bottle fits that really well. The plastic is sturdy, the silicon is shaped well and functional, and at forty ounces I only have to fill it four times a day. The only reason I've subtracted a star is because the straw isn't very well designed. (But it was easy to correct; see below.) The straw is thick plastic, and wide, so that part's great. But it is centered in the bottle, and the bottom of the bottle has an inverted dimple pushing up into the space, so the straw tens to click into place directly over that raised dimple, which messes with the suction. (To fix this, I just grabbed my utility saw and sawed off about 1/8th of an inch. I initially tried to use heavy kitchen shears, but the straw is just too sturdy. Anyway, it's very nearly a perfect bottle now, and if the straw had come 1/8th of an inch shorter, I'd give it five stars.) ... show more

I bought this about a year ago and used it once or twice with plain water. I stopped using it because it didn't fit in my cup holder and because it did not keep the liquids cold. Fast forward about a year - I decided to try it again today. I poured a couple cans of plain club soda into the "tumbler" and added a little cranberry juice for flavor. I closed the lid and walked into my living room to participate in a video call with a client. Two minutes into the call, I went to take a sip but when I opened the flip straw mechanism, the liquid shot out of the tumbler, drenching me and ruining my new shirt! I did NOT shake the contents at all - just walked with it from one room to another. Apparently, the escaping gasses build up and force the liquid up through the straw and out of the tumbler. I love this water bottle. Contigo‘s have been my go to for a long time due to their spill proof lids, and ease of use. I admit, I got hooked on a Stanley for quite a while, but I’m so tired of them falling over and spilling, it’s just making me insane. so imagine my glee when I saw Contigo in a larger 32 ounce bottle! I love it so much. I got the stainless option as well. Fits in some cupholders, but not all of them.
