I know some of these inexpensive parts from overseas are hit-or-miss. The OEM AC compressor for my 2008 Mazda 3 (2.0L, Manual transmission) is terribly expensive. So I gave this one a shot. I did have to splice the wire to fit my plug, but that was super easy - I did it before I installed it. This compressor bolted right up to where my old one went. It is working just fine after 30 days of quite a bit of use (it's been a hot summer!). I should note that the box was a bit banged up when this AC compressor arrived, and a little oil was leaking out of it. So I just put some more in before installing (it does take special AC oil - look it up). But yes, again, so far it's been working fine. It's not noticeably noisy. ... show more

Installed on 2007 Mazda 3 2.3L. After reading a few reviews on the re-manufactured compressors about noise and condition, I opted for this one. So glad I did. For a few extra $ you get a new product, the connector fits the vehicle so there's no need to splice on a new one, and the holes for the supplies lines had covers bolted on so no concern about oil leaking in transit. ... show more

    • Had to modify to fit. This unit is extra Chinese.
Direct fit according to the part number cross reference it list. Had to cut the ear off to get it to bolt on through. If it wasn’t for it being my friends only vehicle I would have sent this crap back. For the price of a four seasons I would expect some mid tier quality. I have little faith it will last the year. Don’t buy this, it was 101*F here today so no time to order another and send this one back. I really hope it last but I build quality is just not there in any remote way. ... show more

    • EXACT OEM PLUG AND COMPRESSOR!!!!
CAR-MAZDA 3-2005-M/T-2.3L So far so good my car is finally blowing cold AC and when I bought the car it never had the air conditioner system up and running but thankfully now I am no longer drenched in sweat because of the Heat. The compressor went on perfectly I did not have to do any adjustments whatsoever it was literally just swapping the compressors the plug was the exact same one has the OEM version and it's working flawlessly still after a month ... show more

    • Straight forward install and works well.
Product wiring harness was slightly different than factory, but the portion that plugs into Mazda 5 harness was exactly the same. Very straight forward install and was happy to have cold air again. Happy to say the new compressor is not loud, cools very well and bolted right up without any issues. Make sure you order new o rings so you can eliminate a failure point for leaks since you'll have it apart. ... show more

You can find rebuilds for considerably cheaper but this is a good price for a brand new compressor. Seemed to be very high quality. Many rebuilt compressors either don't work when you get them, or don't last.
