    • FINALLY FOUND 'THE' BOOT!

I am almost 75 years old and I wanted a pair of snow boots that are COMFORTABLE. (Is that too much to ask?) I tried three other kinds - ALL of them were uncomfortable - and finally came upon these at a store in town but they were too expensive and very plain. I was delighted to find cuter ones cheaper here and love the turquoise accents on them. PLUS THEY FIT WELL AND ARE COMFORTABLE! I know they're hiking boots, but they are water resistant and fit well. My toes are not squeezed, and the heel doesn't slip when I walk. The only two concerns are that hopefully the metal fasteners for the laces won't eventually wear through the matching laces, and the footbed could be cushier. I bought inserts for that, and they are quite comfy now. With inserts that are a bit thick I wear a thinner sock but that's ok. SO HAPPY to have finally found these and I even wear them for everyday! ... show more

Great comfy shoe, it's not heavy, and it appears very durable. I am a rural mail carrier, and they have been great to keep water out, and, the slip resistance is good. They are true to size, and I've been pleased with them so far. They're not clunky and look very nice.

The media could not be loaded. The quality of these Columbia boots are made very well. I can’t speak for whether their waterproof yet as I did not take them near any water. I did take them on a 6 mile hike right from get go. They were very comfortable except a little tight in the toe box however, my toes felt comfortable, kind of. I do feel like you do have to break them and I know other people said that they didn’t have to break them in, but maybe it’s just me. I definitely recommend wearing them out and about before you take them on a long hike as I ended up getting a blister on one of my toes. But that was a minor thing. Everything else felt great the questioning of the shoe the way it supported your feet and ankle felt very stable. At the end of the walk, my feet were not tired and I didn’t notice the blister until I took the shoes off. I have purchased other hiking shoes on Amazon one recently I had to send back immediately and one that used to give me a blisters horribly. I love my long hikes and definitely need a good hiking shoe that’s going to get me through and be comforting to my feet. These get the job done but again I still think I need to break them in a bit more just on my left foot. They seem like because the way they are made that they might also be very good in the snow as well. They have great traction on the bottom and I live in the mountains so I will be trying them out during the winter. ... show more
