My go to hiking boot used to be the Columbia Trailstorm but since they stopped making those I had to find a new pair. These are pretty similar to the Trailstorm, they’re still lightweight and feel like a perfect mashup of hiking boot and tennis shoe. They’re slightly shorter than the Trailstorm but the toe length on my normal size 7 fit just fine with mid weight wool socks. They’re definitely waterproof and mud wipes off easily. So far they’re holding up well and don’t look scratched up or old despite wearing them most of the late summer-early winter and putting LOTS of hiking miles on them. The first couple times of wearing them they did cause some soreness right above my ankles on the shin bone on the outer side of the leg, from where the top lace sits and caused the tongue to press on that spot. It wasn’t terrible but I definitely felt and had to loosen my laces, after about 2-3 wears it feels perfect and causes no soreness. So I do think these require a little breaking in, when I first tried them on I really wasn’t sure if I liked them but I had been so spoiled by the comfort of the Trailstorm that I decided to just give them a try. I’m glad I did because they’re my new favorite! The color is also super pretty!

Oh my goodness, what is there not to like?! I recently went on my first real hiking trip to Colorado, so I needed nice hiking boots. I bought a few different brands and styles of boots to try, some a size up as suggested, and was ultimately disappointed for various reasons. Then, I tried these bad boys on and fell in love. They are THE comfiest shoe/boot I have ever worn. My average steps a day is 8,000 in the real world, hiking all day in these boots I got up to 28,000 steps. The next day my feet didn’t even hurt. Plus, the waterproof side to these is amazing; I completely trust these not to leak. Word of advice though - I am a size 8.5 in women’s typically, but after reading reviews of other boots I chose to go half a size up. The 9 fits comfortably with thick wool socks, but I think if I ever wore thinner socks these might be too roomy. So, I suggest sticking to your usual size with these. Another thing I want to mention is the style and color; LOVE!!! I have to say, these are a confidence booster for sure. The quality, weight, style, value, comfort, and general dependability of these boots put my faith back in online shoe shopping.

I normally wear trail runners for hiking but wanted some boots as well for mountains and rock scrambles. Tried these on at the store and loved how lightweight they felt and didn't look for feel bulky. I broke them into today on a 6 mile Florida trail and they were fantastic!!! Great ankle support, comfy and my don’t hurt at all. I normally wear 8.5-9 and after reading other reviews, I opted for the 9 and they are perfect even with wool hiking socks on. Toe box is roomy but not overly so. Very happy with this purchase! Highly recommend

They’re lightweight with good grip. I tried multiple pairs of Columbia hiking boots to find the one I would be a 100% happy with, and I get quite picky. 1. It’s smooth on top —- I wanted my hiking boots to be waterproof and smooth on top so that it’s easy to clean and have less stains. This pairs have smooth upper, and not fuzzy like suede upper. 2. I chose my regular size 8, but considering I’ll be wearing thick hiking socks, I got 8 WIDE. —- They fit perfect and I felt comfortable, not too tight on the side and length. 3. Good grip. —- Needless to say, you need good grip for hiking. 4. Lightweight hiking shoes. —- They’re sleek and not bulky hiking shoes with ankle support. I didn’t test how waterproof they are but they seem to be, at least the upper is, but the tongue is sponge/mesh so that that specific part may not be as waterproof as the upper will be.

The media could not be loaded. With the amount of people who don't shovel their sidewalks in the winter while I'm out walking the dog, I needed a good traction boot. I decided to try these, and they checked off my list: 1. Warm. 2. Good traction. 3. Lightweight. I usually wear an 8, but the 8 was too tight with wool socks, so I exchanged them for an 8.5 wide, and they fit perfectly with enough toe room but not too much.

I was excited to try these after reading reviews. I had hiking shoes but not boots and our Thanksgiving trip to Kentucky was showing alot of rain and cold temps. I used them for two short hikes (to the suspension bridge and the sky bridge trail in Daniel Boone national forest area) and they weren't comfortable at all. Size seems accurate, seemed comfortable walking around my house and at but then when using outdoors, my left foot/toes went numb and my right was hurting bad around my ankle. I noticed this morning that I actually have a bruise where they were hurting while wearing yesterday (it's very hard to take a pic of a bruise). They were water proof crossing creeks, grip was decent but not as good as my saucony hiking shoes. I'll be cleaning up and and trying to sell to get some of my money back at least.
