I bought a 12 based on the reviews. The 12 fits nicely. First off, I’m a 8/10 depending on brand and cut. I went to the Columbia website to check out sizing- where based on their measurements I found I was a 14 😳. The skort itself for well and was mostly flattering HOWEVER the “shorts” underneath are not nearly long enough and rolled up terribly- completely defeating the purpose of the skort. So I sent them back. Of note, there is another brand on amazon, of similar price point, that has full on bike shorts underneath and work wonderfully! ... show more

I read reviews that suggested ordering up a size. I wear 8 in the Just Right Skort, so I ordered a 10, and it's perfect. I'd like it a little longer, runs ~1 inch shorter that the Just Right model. But it's fine for walking and just hanging around. The little short underneath is more like a panty than a short. Again, at least 3-4 inches shorter than the Just Right. Nice fit around thighs.. I'm glad I didn't lie about my waist. Although it couldn't be smaller in waist if you have meat on your thighs you may want to stick to right size cause the shorts are pretty much biker shorts. So they will ride.

I had to buy this skort in a size 14 before it would JUST fit. I am an online shopaholic and I KNOW what size to select. I purchased at least 15 other skorts online with no problems within weeks of buying this particular skort. I will usually select a size 8-10 (since I have gained weight). I heard the reviews about the sizes being waaaayyy off and too small. They were all accurate. Whatever clothing manufacturer made this for Columbia, should NEVER be used again. Otherwise, I love this skort but size up at least 2-3 sizes, or expect to lose 30-40 pounds before you can wear it. ... show more
