Ordere this for my mother. She wantes a warm coat that she didn't look or feel like Randy from A Christmas Story. Fits as expected. It's soft and warm without being stiff or bulky. She's says it's perfect! High quality is expected from a Columbia product and this did not disappoint. She is 5'2" and around 220. The coat is a bit big on her, but that is what she prefers.

I recently donated a carload of old coats I never wore to charity but then found myself with nice warm jackets but no coat for when the temps got colder than 20-25 - rare here but it does happen especially early morning dog walk time. In fact, it got so cold one morning that I looked for only coats that would be next day delivery! I had not bought a coat in over 20 years and was overwhelmed by the choices. For most jackets or fleece or turtlenecks I buy men's since I detest the new fitted styles for women -- I prefer a straight boxy fit. I also needed a hood since an umbrella with a leash is awkward. So based on brand recognition and hood and the longer length and overnight availability I bought this coat. Although I am between a medium and large I bought an XL since it did say slightly fitted. The XL is perfect since under it I have multiple layers. I was worried about the hip area where the layers are long johns, sweats, a tucked in turtle and a fleece zip up, The XL is roomy enough for all that, has long enough sleeves which are also an issue I have with women's clothes. So I am pleased with the fit, the warmth, the length and the hood. I read a review which was bothered by no drawstring on hood but I actually like it without - nothing dangling under my chin and the hood fits fine over a watch cap. I have not worn it to drive but I am guessing the bottom up zipper would make that possible. For the price, which was quite nice compared to the prices on those 2 major websites that both start with L, I am thrilled with this purchase.

First, I got the cherry color, but it’s not red at all. I would say plum is a better descriptor. Still very pretty, just know that. It’s super fluffy. I feel like a purple Michelin man. I wore it in 45 degrees this morning and it was even a little hot, so I’m confident that 30s will be good. Below that, I’ll have to test it. I’m a small person so I got the XS and it’s still got room inside. For reference, I usually wear 25 in pants and XS in shirts at Loft. I would love if the pockets were a little bigger. They’re big enough for my hands, but I prefer pockets that are extra large and can cover wrists and with gloves and such.

I'm normally a size L in Columbia (I feel their coats usually run a bit small) but the medium fits better in this style. I am a medium based on the size chart so I'd say it's accurate. The coat is thick and boxy which gives an oversized and modern look. I love the dark true red and purple color options it was so hard to choose! Now the test will come this winter in Illinois. I wish that it included omni heat lining but maybe it's toasty enough without it. I like the look and feel after trying on. The neck is wide and doesn't get caught in my hair like some coats do. So far so good. I'll update to 5 stars if it stands up to a really cold day!

Very cozy jacket that falls just below the hips. The ice blue color is beautiful and I love the chin guard and the way the hood sits. It has a sturdy zipper and fleece lined pockets, though no inside pocket, which would have been nice. Overall, a good fit. I got 1x. I am 5"9 and 200 lbs. I can wear a sweater under this coat and not feel cramped. I am happy with this item.

Very pretty white jacket. Is a little puffy looking, but appropriate for cold weather. It runs just a tad big, which I didn't mind because I read the reviews and ordered a medium. I am 5'5" and weight 144 lbs. I have room to wear a sweater. My husband loved how it looked. It was a little longer than I thought, but I don't mind because it will be warm in colder weather. Great buy at a discounted price.

This coat is SO warm and SO comfortable. It runs a little big though, which is weird. I have another Columbia puffy in 1X that was a little tight, so I ordered this one in a 2X, and it seems a little roomier than I wanted, but that's ok because it leaves space underneath for warm layers. Wearing it feels like I'm wearing a nice warm blanket outside. Sufficient so far to about 20° F.
