It took me 3 tries to find the right fit... BUT if I had just went with the size I did on my other Columbia boots, it would have been quicker. I wear an 8.5-9 in most shoes, 8.5 if there's a wide. I tried the 9 regular (pinched toes) 9 wide (bent at toes/too much space) and 8.5 Wide is my perfect place. They're comfy, cute and seem durable. I enjoy walking in them ... show more

they definitely are waterproof. as you can see this was snow up to my knees a mile in and my feet were dry. I do recommend less snow because, by the end of this, my socks did get wet. I don't think they are meant for this much snow.

These boots fit comfortably and are very warm! Haven’t got to wear them on a hiking trip but have worn them to break them in and they are extremely comfortable and lightweight will be ordering other colors in the future

I am very happy with these boots. They were comfortable right out of the box. I don’t know if they are truly waterproof. I have other boots for that. These are nice looking, and I try to keep them that way. I ordered a half size larger than my normal size, and they fit well with wool socks. But, my feet tend to swell in the afternoons so they are a little snug with the thick socks later in the day. I know, you would say, “just wear thinner socks”. What I loved about these hiking boots is that they have some softness in the bottom of shoe. So many hiking boots that I tried were like walking barefoot on concrete with out any cushy feeling. I find them very comfortable.

I bought these from the warehouse as a straight size 7 but there was so much room in the forefoot I double checked the box and it said wide. The shoe itself does not say wide on the tag. So, not quite sure on the size but the fit is very good. The heel is perfect and the forefoot is roomy without being sloppy, the length is just right in my usual size. My toes have room to spread. I have wide feet and so I normally have to order a half size up and they were a little too big but I'll just wear thick socks. But if you have a wide foot then order your normal size, you won't regret it.
