  • Honest review after a full month in slush, ice & snow
Size: 7 Wide Color: Black/Khaki Ii
I’ve worn these every day for several weeks now and feel that I can write an honest review. I wore these boots sledding for 2.5 hours and they kept my feet warm and dry the entire time, wearing thin ankle socks. I wear them daily for walking our dog-lots of slush and wet/heavy snow-no issue here either. They are truly waterproof. I also wear them to run errands in. They provide great traction on ice. They come with an extra set of laces, so you can wash them (we have so much salt on our sidewalks!), and still have a pair to use, which I found helpful. They feel more like an athletic shoe than a boot on my feet, which makes them ideal for errands-no more clunking around the grocery store! They also don’t feel stiff around my upper ankle, so playing in the snow and walking feels comfortable. I’m a true size 7.5 in shoes, and ordered both 7W and 8W as many reviews stated these run narrow. I don’t notice a difference between the wide width and my regular boots, so I imagine the regular sizes do run narrow. I kept the size 8 pair anticipating that I’d need to wear wool socks, but I’ve been out in single-digit temps with these wearing thin socks and have been comfortable. I paid $80 for these, and for that price I find these to be a great value. Having worn these many times now through ice, slush and snow, I would pay more for these boots if needed. They’re high quality and are performing exactly as I had hoped. ... show more

  • Warm, Light-Weigh, Boots
Size: 6 Wide Color: First Generation Black/Pebble
I really like these boots. They're a bit pricey, but Columbia brand usually holds up well. For me something that's well made, comfortable, and will last is usually worth paying a little more. They're lightweight and warm. I was replacing my Sperry duck boots after several years of use and wanted something a little warmer bc my feet would freeze when I wore them in snow. I like that they are fabric, but still waterproof. Most winter boots are usually a hard rubber, rigid, and don't have much flexibility, not these. I love that they're so much lighter weight. I think they're comfy, but they don't have the arch support you get from say a running shoe. One thing that should be noted is that these are narrow. I would say I don't have particularly narrow or wide feet. I usually wear the, "normal" size, e.g., I don't usually order wide or narrow shoes. If I had to pick one though my feet are on the wider side vs the narrow side. I debated if I should order a wide, and decided to based on other reviews that said these were narrow. I'm glad I ordered a wide they definitely would have been uncomfortable if I hadn't. I didn't love that they charged so much more for the wide though, but overall I'm really happy with my boots. They're really cute too. ... show more

  • Comfortable and Stylish
Size: 8 Wide Color: Black/Khaki Ii
These boots are stylish and very comfortable. You can really feel the contoured sole. The sole has really good traction. They are also warm and soft inside while maintaining excellent waterproofing. I’ll be wearing on rainy and snowy days. Great quality boots at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

  • Functional and cute but they do run small
Size: 6 Color: First Generation Nori, Khaki Ii
These Columbia Minx Shorty snow boots are so cute. I just love them! Best part is they are functional as well. We get winters here. Cold temps, snow, slush...all that. Sometimes we get a lot of snow and that's when I pull out the heavy weight boots. Other times, we get just a few inches and these are perfect for that. They do well on the ice, keep my feet dry and are comfortable and warm. The only issue is that they do run small. I typically wear a 6 in boots and that's what I ordered these in. There is no way I could wear thick socks with these. Luckily it isn't an issue as the coldest we typically get in the winter is single digits (not consistently) and these actually kept my feet fairly toasty with thinner socks. Any colder than that though and you'd definitely want to wear thicker socks so that would mean going up a half or full size. ... show more

  • probably my favorite purchase ever!!
Size: 12 Color: First Generation Black/Pebble
I’m planning a trip to Iceland soon, and need a WARM and WATERPROOF boot. I was a little hesitant to order this boot, because I've always liked the convenience of a zipper or slip on boot. But wow, was I doing myself a disfavor! A tie on boot offers a custom fit, and makes walking and hiking so much more comfortable. This boot also has a high quality foot bed insert, which is removable. I love this boot so much! It is lightweight, but offers an incredible non-slip tread for walking. They are soooo warm! I sized up one whole size, because I wanted to be able to wear a thicker sock. I'm finding that I do NOT need an extra sock, and surprisingly, the boot seems to run just a tiny bit small through the toe box (maybe due to extra insulation??). I am super happy I sized up (something I don’t ordinarily do, because wearing a size 11 and sizing up to a 12 is not something any woman aspires to!) I really think the extra wiggle room results in warmer toes. Could NOT be happier with this boot! UPDATE: these were beyond perfect for my trip to Iceland in late March. These boots are my new best friend! ❤️ ... show more

  • Definitely a size issue with these very cute boots
Size: 9.5 Color: Oxford Tan, Fawn
I bought these based on reviewers' statements about traction, warmth, comfort, and appearance. My normal size is 9.5 Narrow, so interior roominess is never a problem for me - normally my low-volume foot rattles around inside boots. I bought these Columbia boots in size 9.5, and was shocked when I tried them on: not only was the left boot way too short, but both boots were overall too tight. I walked around in them for 2 hours hoping everything would adjust, but no go. Shooting pains through my left foot put an end to the trial run. So. Are they cute? Yes, very cute. Are they warm? Yes. Traction? Hard to tell with an indoor trial. Do they fit to size? No way! Toyed with the idea of re-ordering in a larger size, but decided that whatever wonky quality control issue is going on here, I do not want to participate. Too bad. ... show more

  • Quality, functional & Cute!
Size: 8 Color: Black/Khaki Ii
These sturdy little boots are a perfect fit, comfortable right of the the box. They keep my feet warm and dry in the cold wet winter months while also keeping me from slipping on snow and ice with great traction. Columbia makes quality boots that last for years, they’re worth the money.
