A year prior to purchasing these shoes, I bought a $45 pair of mid-calf waterproof boots for my trip to Iceland. They served me well, but after a week of daily wear, I was limping because my feet were destroyed. This year, for my trip to Ireland, I knew I would be 3x more walking than I did in Ireland, so I decided to hunt for a pair of back up shoes. Style-wise, these Colombia boots seemed to fit what I had in mind—a tennis shoe that’s warm, waterproof and appropriate for walking and hiking. And, I was so happy that these delivered in all areas. I wore these shoes for an entire week in Ireland, and I have no complaints. I actually have delicate pinky toes that can get easily irritated even in fairly comfortable shoes. I also have poor circulation in my feet which can be painful in cold weather. These Colombia boots gave me no issues. They are light like tennis shoes, and just overall amazing. There were days in Ireland when there was wind and rain, but my feet stayed warm and dry as I was exposed to such weather. Size was just right. They were a bit snug with thick thermal socks, but not uncomfortable. Thermal socks were not needed though. I wore these every day of my one week trip. For size reference, I do have somewhat slender feet. I highly recommend. ... show more

  • Warm, Light-Weigh, Boots
Size: 6 Wide Color: First Generation Black/Pebble
I really like these boots. They're a bit pricey, but Columbia brand usually holds up well. For me something that's well made, comfortable, and will last is usually worth paying a little more. They're lightweight and warm. I was replacing my Sperry duck boots after several years of use and wanted something a little warmer bc my feet would freeze when I wore them in snow. I like that they are fabric, but still waterproof. Most winter boots are usually a hard rubber, rigid, and don't have much flexibility, not these. I love that they're so much lighter weight. I think they're comfy, but they don't have the arch support you get from say a running shoe. One thing that should be noted is that these are narrow. I would say I don't have particularly narrow or wide feet. I usually wear the, "normal" size, e.g., I don't usually order wide or narrow shoes. If I had to pick one though my feet are on the wider side vs the narrow side. I debated if I should order a wide, and decided to based on other reviews that said these were narrow. I'm glad I ordered a wide they definitely would have been uncomfortable if I hadn't. I didn't love that they charged so much more for the wide though, but overall I'm really happy with my boots. They're really cute too. ... show more

  • Best boot ever!
Had to upgrade this review to 5 stars. This ended up being my favorite boot...EVER! They don’t even feel tight anymore for some reason. With having laces I can loosen them. I guess that helped. I also realized that thick socks are not needed with these. I usually just wear my regular no show socks. My feet have stayed toasty warm. I do deliveries so I occasionally have to get out and walk in slush and deep snow. The traction on these are the best I’ve ever had. I haven’t even slipped on ice. With them being such a light flexible boot I am able to feel my footing unlike thick clunky boots. The snow doesn’t stick to them like other boots I’ve had also. I’ve purposely walked in slush and puddles and have stayed totally dry. I was worried that maybe I should have sprayed them with silicone just to be sure but it’s not even an issue. As of now, no regrets. I guess my only worry is the nubby tread wearing down. Old review: Very comfortable boot. Flexible and lightweight too. I like boots I can drive in. I like the chunky tread. Should be good for walking in snow. I had no idea the foot bed was removable until I started reading reviews. However...boots are not very wide mainly at the start of the toe area. Well I took out the removable insole, that thing is thick and cushy and then the shoes are too wide. If these don’t break in some with the original foot bed I may give them a go with one of my own. So far the Columbia’s have been my favorite boot of all the good brands I’ve tried the past couple of weeks. They are everything I was looking for in a boot, except the width. Although I wanted a slip on these will do fine. I don’t need to tie them. I have a few more Columbia styles coming from the wardrobe to try. It all comes down to comfort. Will report on them. ... show more

  • Great boots
I have a problem finding footwear that I like. I inherited my father's wide feet, so my choices are very limited. These boots not only come in wide width, but fit well. They are a tad bit long, so I could have probably gone a half-size smaller, but I am still able to wear them with no issues. They are comfortable, keep my feet warm in the cold, and are easy to walk in. These have probably got to be the best winter boots I have had in a long time. ... show more

  • I LOVE COLUMBIA BOOTS!!!!! 😃
I have a total of 5 pairs of Columbia boots at this point and I just started purchasing them in the Winter of 22. That’s how much I love them, both long and short! After buying my first pair and falling in love I gave my usual brand a break because their quality changed, glad I’m here now!! This particular boot I’ve been stalking, but was waiting for the price to go down and IT DID!!!!!! I had to tell myself to not buy two pair 😂!! I wear a 9 so I buy a 9 and honestly it breaks in after about 2 wears so I never size up(I have fat feet). I’m happy and comfortable!!!!!! Columbia keep my feet warm, dry and looking cute!! Let’s not forget with both long and short ones you can be very stylish! I’m in Chicago and we have some rough Winters some years and your feet being warm and dry are very important!! Also, good traction. I pair mine with either my pea coat or Columbia coat or sometimes just my hoodie . 😊 🫶🏽 ... show more
