  • Comfort, cuteness, and handles like a pro!
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Elk, Black
Typically I wear a size 10 women’s (medium width) or a size 8 men’s (medium width). I needed boots for an upcoming trip and initially purchased these in medium width. They look great and check all the boxes in color, comfort, and warmth. However, the medium width boots wouldn’t have left much room for thick wool socks, which I’ll need. So, I decided to purchase these in a 10.5 wide width and I am so thankful for all the reviews that recommended the wide width and sizing up. I only went up a half-size. Normally I couldn’t wear a wide width shoe/boot; however, these are wonderful. They are roomy, as seen in the photos. However, I had on thin socks and still no sloshing around in them. Also, I hiked in a nature preserve with muddy, rocky terrain with elevation variations, these boots handled every twist and turn with ease. My feet feel fantastic and interestingly, my legs didn’t feel as heavy or fatigued as they often are when I’m wearing my hiking shoes. I highly recommend these boots to anyone looking for comfort, cuteness, and a boot that can handle whatever path one takes! ... show more

  • Finally Keepers!
Size: 7.5 Color: Black, Columbia Grey
After countless tries, these Columbia's are the clear winners; Comfy, warm, supportive; first day hiked around Yuba River for hours uphills, over steep rocks, dirt, cement; no blisters, total comfort; wore in rain yesterday; I sized up .5 and I wear with Maggies organic wool hikers; these are not cumbersome, lightweight, perfect for my walks in the foothills; love the look of them as well; easy to get on/off; my feet feel secure in these, like a sturdy sneaker, which I love. ... show more

  • Love
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black, Columbia Grey
I hit the age bracket where I’m looking more for comfort over style. While I will say, these boots could have a little more “style” with a colored faux lining (I purchased the all black), these are still cute and more importantly, comfortable. I bought an off brand and you could feel my heel sliding on the back heel, but my foot stays where it should with no slipping in these boots. My ankles feel supported, and my feet stay warm, and while I’ve only had them for a month, I am hopeful they will last more than a season or two (which is usually what happens with off brand winter gear) I already have a second color on my wishlist just because I like to color coordinate. Oh, additionally I got my normal size, but purchased wide because I do have slightly wider feet. No break-in time needed - fit perfect. ... show more

  • Boots are a bit tight in my normal size
Size: 11 Wide Color: Black, Columbia Grey
Warm, stylish, good arch support. However, my toes are snug. I thought they would wear in, but after 2 days, these are still feeling tight. Would recommend ordering up a half size if you can.

Like: comfortable to wear and can withstand harsh weather conditions. Sized up for better and roomier feel. Easy to wear just slip on. Ready to go anywhere

  • Like these boots!
Size: 7 Wide Color: Cordovan, Siberia
They look good, are comfortable and warm. I ordered the Wide to have extra room for thick socks. A friend saw mine and ordered her own and, she said she didnt need the wide but, loves them. I probably could have been okay without wide because I don't think thick socks will be needed as they are warm. Great price for Columbia! Now my third pair of Columbia boots (all different typed for different activities). These are the least expensive but, seem to the same great quality. Can't speak of waterproof yet. We'll see what winter brings this year and update if necessary. ... show more

  • Comfortable and fits any insole.
I love the fit, the warmth, and the color. They are flat on the inside so they work for weird or sensitive feet. They are warm and true to size. If you size up you can wear a shearling insole and warming socks! The color is unique and matches any brick, burgundy, or beetroot coat!

  • A sturdy waterproof boot that kept my feet warm and dry on a 10-day Europe trip in a snow storm!
Size: 6.5 Color: Elk, Black
As my headline states, I bought these boots to wear on a 10-day trip to Austria and Prague in late November/early December, and it's a good thing I did, because the area got hit with a surprise snow storm! I walked an average of 6-9 hours a day in snow and ice in these boots, and even before breaking them in, they were comfortable, sturdy, and completely waterproof. In temps that ranged from 10-36 degrees Fahrenheit in deep snow, my toes stayed warm with only 1 pair of wool socks (accompanied by tights on the coldest days). I will say that it took me 3 tries to get the sizing right for these: I normally wear a 6.5 in shoes but initially ordered a 7 because everyone says to go up in size for boots. That was the wrong move, since the 7s were way too big. Then I tried the 6.5s, and they were way too tight. I finally got it figured out when I ordered the 6.5 wides. A final caution I'll issue - for all these boots' great qualities, they do not have great traction on ice. I slipped quite a few times walking around Prague and eventually fell down some icy steps and sprained my arm pretty badly. So they're great in snow, but exercise caution on ice. ... show more
