I totally love these boots! I'm always hesitant to buy footwear online and even in person, due to fit issues. These were perfect! I got my usual 6.5 women's size. I have a very narrow heel and foot, but a wide toe area, so I get a half size bigger than my true size 6 and then use thick socks and heel pads to fill them out. These fit perfect, with normal socks, and kept my feet toasty warm. I'll probably be able to use a thicker sock, if necessary, for more warmth. They were comfortable to walk a long distance in from the first wearing. This morning, in -9°F, I didn't feel a twinge of cold. They seem very well made and I'm sure will last for years. I bought these just in time for a snow storm with 3 ft of snow. They're cute and they kept my feet warm and comfortable even after hours in the snow. They are so comfortable that I didn't want to take them off! I like them so much that I bought a pair for my daughter for her birthday. They are true to size and easy to take on and off.     • Best boots, easy to get off and on
This is one of the best made boots I’ve ever had, I used HH before and this is far better. I’m a Columbia convert. The laces tie fast without dangerous fast-lacing, just pull and the whole thing tightens. My crampons are a snap to get off and on and I can easily remove my boots even with the crampons on. They aren’t overly big and bulky but they’re still warm. They work with both boot cut and leggings, and I have yet to use them with my new snow pants that are actually waterproof fleece lined hiking pants because snow pants traditionally don’t lend themselves to the snow yoga we do in the field (we need to be bendy on the steep hikes!) Only wish is they came to my knees or just under, instead of only being mid calf above the ankles. This is because I like marching in very vey deep snow. I do have gaiters for that though. And it’s not so much I like to as I have to as part of my job, so I say I like to ... Just have to see how the gaiters negotiate with my crampons. I probably will order more of these boots at some point so I don’t limit myself to one pair in case I lose them or wear them out fast which tends to happen with all my boots, I lose them and/or wear them out fast. ... show more

    • Love these boots - warm and comfy!!
The boots kept my feet warm, while walking around in 12 inches of snow - don't need a really heavy pair of socks. I bought a half size larger than my shoe size - they fit comfortably. However if you wish to wear a pair of heavy socks, I would advise buying a size larger. They look very nice on and I am very well pleased! This is the first time I bought boots online and was pleasantly surprised that they turned out great!! I highly recommend these boots! ... show more

    • Good quality boots
Good quality boots. I usually wear 6.5 for boots and they fit as expected. Very comfortable, the padding on the shoe sole is not as cushioned as a tennis shoe or as firm as a dress boot, is something in between, which I guess it makes it appropriate to walk safely on snow or slushy surfaces. I used it in temperatures around the 20s, 30s and 40s (Fahrenheit) with winter socks and it kept my feet warm (I walk my dog 3 times a day at ANY temperature and I need a dependable pair of shoes). I did not walk in deep snow, just probably a maximum of 3 or 4 inches; I also walked in the rain with them; it did keet my socks dry. In conclusion: warm, comfortable enough for a long walk, I had them for a couple of months and they seem to hold together pretty well. The only minor thing I noticed is that I ordered "black" and they are not fully black like in the picture, they have a "blueish" tint to them. Not really an issue, but a detail to know. I'm very pleased with the purchase, and Amazon's promptness with the delivery. ... show more

These run a little small. I bought 6.5, my usual size, but would buy a 7 if I bought them again. They feel a bit stiff but seem warm. After a few times wearing them I’ll know better if they were worth it. I would recommend ordering up a half size though. UPDATE: I went out today in 28° F temperature to shovel snow. I have a fair amount of area to shovel so I was out for over an hour. These boots kept me warm, dry and perfectly comfortable! I highly recommend them! ... show more

    • Love these boots - not too tall & not too short, just right!
Love, love, love these boots! So much so I bought a second pair for when these wear out. I love the fit for me they are supportive of my ankle, heel and sides of my feet. The toe box is wide so I can wiggle my toes & even spread them. I wear them walking all over San Francisco and Seattle. My feet stay comfy, warm and dry. I like the height. They hit just a the bottom of my calf, so not too tall & not too short, just right! I get complements on them all the time as they are super cute! ... show more

    • Great boots!
These boots are a little big, but I wasn't wearing them with winter socks which would make a difference. We had our first snowstorm of the year today in the Northeast and I wore these all afternoon, to the hair salon, shopping, and to shovel. They are lightweight enough to wear while out and about and yet warm and substantial enough to handle very slushy snow. They also have excellent traction. Lastly, though I didn't buy them for this reason, I have plantar fasciitis and they did not exacerbate it at all! My only reservation about buying them was that they're lace up (how lazy can I be??) but that turned out to be a minor concern. These are great boots even if they don't zip and you have to take a minute or two to get them on and off. ... show more
