But I do find that I don’t reach for them… maybe it’s bc I’m shorter and I like the shorty styles better but I really just don’t grab these in the colder months so kinda was a bad buy for me but they are really nice. I’d like to have the short brown ones if I can catch them on sale. I have the black ones and grey paid too. 2 pair bought off Amazon and another others from The Columbia store and trust me … well at least mine bought here are authentic. They are just same as ones I’ve bought seen and tried on in-store. I’ve got tons of Columbia clothes jackets hats gloves and coats lol. Like literally 8-9 jackets and 4 coats and couldn’t count how many sweaters hoodies and beanie hats lol. I love Columbia products but these boots aren’t my fave. Ive maybe worn them 3x in 2years I’ve had them. I got a size 6.5 and they fit with room for thick socks… I do know this much same style but the shorty I got a 6 and it was perfect fit but couldn’t wear thick socks so that’s a bummer. Just get the 6.5 if that’s what I wear these are true to size they are not made huge… maybe a hair big but winter boots are supposed to for layering reasonsz. I wear a 6.5 and will alwys get the 6.5 when I buy columbia shoes even their sneakers and sandals. I caught seen on sale is only reason I bought them anyways so no biggie. ... show more

I live in Minnesota and these boots have kept my feet warm and they have great traction on ice. I bought them after I had slipped and fell on a wet slippery floor in the grocery store earlier this year so when I purchased these boots I was looking for boots that would be safe on slippery floors and icy sidewalks . I wore them for 4 months of the most treacherous winter I have experienced in Minnesota, it was the snowiest year on record. Although I had to walk on ice many times in parking lots and driveways I never slipped. They are also very water resistant, as I worked 8 hours a day shopping and delivering about 8 orders or groceries a day and I was in and out, cold outside to inside grocery stores with wet floors and back outside in snow or ice and sometimes puddles , my feet stayed warm, comfortable and dry. I literally only wore these boots for 4 months, I was recovering from a knee injury and I could not risk falling but had to brave the cold and icy driveways, parking lots and sidewalks. I really do like these. They are comfortable. You do need warm socks though. My toes/feet were still a little cold but stayed dry. These are my first pair ever of real winter shoes/boots and I like them a lot. I like the look of them and the feel. Wore these in 5ft deep snow. Even when my body was literally sinking deep into fresh snow my feet were kept warm and hardly any snow snow got in like literally only a tablespoon and that was to be expected since I was literally submerged in snow. So happy I bought these. I would recommend 100%.

These replaced some awesome North Face boots that I'd had for almost 15 years before the plastic cracked, so they were some literal tough shoes to fill. They have been good, had them for three midwest winters at this point, and they have been quite satisfactory. They still look great, they haven't broken in the outers, stitching, or soles. While these aren't as padded and comfortable as my previous pair of Columbia boots they make up for it in other areas. These boots are much warmer, stylish and are more waterproof. They are still pretty comfortable, but not as padded as my other ones. The last time I wore them it was a warmer, snowy and slushy day. My feet stayed completely dry. I have feet that are a little wider than normal, but had no trouble with the width. I normally wear a size 9.5, but ordered a 10 so I'd have room for thicker socks. The 10 seemed a little big even with thicker socks so I then ordered a 9.5 to be sure I had the right size. The 9.5 fit with thicker socks, but felt too tight in the toe box for my liking. I would say these run pretty true to size, but if you like a little more room for winter/thicker socks maybe go a half size up. If I didn't have feet that are a little wide the 9.5 would have been fine. I hope this helps someone else so you don't have to order two different sizes like I did. I did also measure my foot before ordering, but when the sizes are so similar in length it wasn't super helpful. ... show more

I bought these boots for a trip during winter in Northwest USA. I have a wide foot and they were so comfortable and warm. Highly recommend. My feet are picky and we did a lot of walking.
