The boots look very sturdy and strong. It goes high enough to keep the snow from getting in unless you pour snow and water in on purpose. There is a inner shell which my kid said it was comfortable. It can easily be removed for cleaning. They are a bit on the heavier side. And they look huge. My kiddo wears youth size 3. The boots seem impossible for size three at first glance, but when we took the inner shell out snd wear them along, the size is reasonable. So I think the outer shoes are just huge to accommodate the thick inner layer. Overall, the shoes are very bulky and inflexible outside. These won’t be my ideal shoes for kids, but there are not many options this year. Giving that Columbia is a good brand and the price is no more than other less known brands in the market, we are keeping them. I am hoping that their functions will outweigh the bulky look. By the way, the boots along do look handsome. It is just huge as if a kid in them are wearing an oversized pair. ... show more

We bought a size bigger boot for my kid. It looks nice on the outside and does have a liner that comes out. But the liner was way too short for his foot and he could not get it on. The boots however were plenty big but not comfortable to wear without the line so we are returning them and going with another kind. ... show more
