This was great during the recent cold spell. It is Columbia OMNI-HEAT which i am a huge fan of. it has a cord in the upper edge which is handy. if you wear glasses you need to find the right spot, you cannot wear as shown of glasses fog up. The matching beanie is also available.

This thing was great on a cold motorcycle ride from Texas to Arkansas. 30° on the interstate. When you pull it over your nose, be ready for it to be wet when you take it off. The condensation can't go anywhere since the inside it coated with their special fabric. Washes well, though, and air dries quickly! ... show more

This Columbia Trail Shaker Gaiter is a mixed bag, so I give it 2.5 stars. It is lightweight and I can breath easily through the single layer of material which is great for this asthmatic. The fit is good. Fits a small female head and face like mine. The color is bright and cheerful. However, the omnitech dots are ABRASIVE and irritating to my lips and the skin on my chin! Mind you I didn't have it on for more than a minute with it up over my nose before taking it down and it hasn't been washed. I'm doubtful these dots will soften enough for me to use it as intended. As something that is never worn on the face, just around my neck, this may work. The outside of the gaiter is nice and soft so maybe I can wear it inside out if I need to pull it up over my nose?? ... show more

I ordered this in burgundy for my husband. He returned it because he wanted a balaclava, but I have one of these that I purchased directly from Columbia in 2020 and it's great! It washes well and keeps your face protected from wind and snow. I wore it in Iceland in February and it did its job. It has an adjustable strap to keep it in place and it was very comfortable.
