Great shoes for daily bike commute or weekend bike and hike. The reflective bits in the tongue and the mountain logo tags on the sides were nice touches. Columbia knocked it out of the park with theses.

💯 Best darn thing Columbia has ever put out. If you bike and love the trails you will not be disappointed. Light weight, comfortable and very stylish. Good grip but it’s only been twelve hours so we shall see about the durability and waterproofing but so far so good.

7/28/25, updated to drop a star (and would put them at 3.5, and not as good for biking/flat pedals as the other shoes I mentioned for these performance issues, still a comfortable shoe) since now multiple time the left and right shoe have fallen off my feet on steep terrain in hike a bike situations... and my feet have not stuck to the pinned flat pedals in some rocky terrain and nearly caused me to crash a few times. Interesting that these "Trailrider" shoes are advertised on Amazon as a hiking shoe and not a mountain biking shoe. The first time I tried on I was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable insole, nicely cushioned tongue with excess lace elastic, heel pull tab, reflective accent on the toe and heel, and wide toe box. The construction looks good. The best out of the box feel I've had (better than the RC, 510, O'Neal, Giro, Vans, and Teva. The sole seems very durable and after a few rides provides decent grip though a tradeoff for durable sole is less sticky though I didn't notice my feet slipping off the pedals on chunky tech terrain. The RCs and 510s I've bought cost more than these and so far I would not consider those again and will probably order a few more of these in case they go extinct like the Teva MTB shoes that were my favorite; and I think these are good value for the cost. ... show more

Look nice. Great daily kick around show. Good grip and make ok Except, the ortholite insole. It’s thin and has little to no arch support. It’s kinda sticky so it doesn’t slide around but isn’t fully glued ( good, cause I’ll likely replace insole for a better one) Not really a hiking shoe at all. A bit of a fashion show for that rugged look. And that’s fine. But for those over 200#,, that thin insole isn’t enough cushioning. Also, runs big. Mostly an 11 in adidas, sometimes a 10.5. These 10.5 are very roomy. Maybe to wear with a super thick sock because that’ll be your needed cushion. ... show more
