In Colorado, they were just right for the rocky trails around the Maroon Bells. I hiked through snow and mud and my feet stayed dry. I wore my regular size 10 with heavy Darn Tough socks, and they fit great. They're a nice compromise between trail runners and heavier boots. These boots if you want to use if just working in the yard or driving a truck. Excellent ankle support great to walk in. Just the right support for your back. You may think why your back, well comfort starts with the nerves in your feet which while walking gives the comfort with wise and the souls. Coming from someone who has had heal spurs surgery & my husbands back surgery they are so comfortable. Both of us drive a truck so we are heavy on telegram usage of these boots. They last a long time. Also remember we are all different in walking the type of support you need but for us yes we will be buying more. We have been using them for a couple of years now. I've worn this on Iceland Terrain to US West coast Mountain Terrain to Colorado Rocky Mountain Ranges and it's Awesome. Water resistance for sure and GREAT COMFORT. I bought these for a vacation in Norway, wore them for ten days through rain and shine. Hiked and walked endlessly, never got a blister, stayed dry in deep water, and they are so comfy. I've gone through a lot of hiking shoes that were mediocre, these are the best hiking boots I've ever had.

I purchased these boots but needed them before I could "break them in". Didn't matter, they fit fine and no rub spots. They were comfortable from the first time I put them on and did not need to be broken in.

By far the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. Very lightweight for being leather boots. I wear them every day from the time I leave the house to the time I get ready for bed and each pair I’ve had has lasted me 10-12 months (which is about all I ever get no matter the price point). I’ve worked construction, hunted, hiked, climbed 14,000 ft mountains, and jumped out of planes with these for a couple years and the only complaints I have revolve around the boot being made of a dark leather. They don’t breathe well and because of the dark color they are miserably hot on 90+ degree days when in direct sunlight for hours. But again, they’re dark leather. I knew these were gonna be issues when I bought them the first time, but now I’m on my third pair. They’re more comfortable than any Solomon shoes I’ve ever had and I’ll continue to buy them as long as Columbia has them available. ... show more
