As the title says, I bought these because of the reviews on them and I gotta say I'm impressed with how comfortable they are out of the box. No break in period was necessary. I work where I need a boot but not steel toe and these have been great for daily use. The only negative is not being waterproof, but that's a small ding because they are flexible and breathe well. I'll probably buy another color of these. Also, a heads up, they do have a very strong rubber smell in the box, but it goes away pretty fast. ... show more

I have worked in several pairs of Danners and I currently own 4 other pairs of Columbia Boots & Shoes. NOTHING compares to these mid-top! These are SO COMFORTABLE! Good width up front in the toes and some of the best insoles I have had the pleasure of slipping into! They look like sick set of skaters with some nasty traction knobs... Lacing up for the first use and the #3 hole broke through. Not happy but will try to return. Otherwise, the shoe looks good, fits well and is comfortable right out of the box.
