Gosh, this was a PERFECT fit! I ordered an XL, going by the measurements given. The color was more on the rusty side vs a maroon wine, but that was ok. The construction is solid. There is a side zipper, well done, but I didn't need it. The waist ties are the perfect length to easily tie in back with a decent bow. The material was wrinkly, but for my purposes on stage, I ended up not bothering to iron it. The white material is comfortable too. I am 5ft 2 1/2 in tall. The length was perfect with my period look short laced boots. Sleeve length was perfect too. I looked GREAT! I am impressed with the solid construction. I was pleasantly surprised that the material was NOT flimsy, like so many other online costumes and dresses. Haven't washed it yet, but hope it won't bleed onto the white part. ... show more

I am 5'9" 160. I lift weights and run so ia have a more athletic body with wide shoulders. I ordered a large and it fits perfectly. A medium was recommended but went with the large. So happy I did.

Beautiful dress and it was perfect for my grandson’s colonial day event at school. Even my daughter bought one. This dress is also very comfortable. It does not come with an apron but it also wasn’t necessary.
