This was a super fun project and much better than my old desk! It was super easy to put together and surprisingly had enough space so my knees don't hit the desk. The depth was a little disappointing. I often have to put the toes of my feet on the bottom supporting bar to get comfortable. The desk is super sturdy and able to hold my book shelves, computer, monitor and stand. The quality of wood was perfect for me drilling out a hole for a recessed power outlet. The desk does get scuffed easily. One of the anchors for a screw to the frame was broken but I was able to get it to work out with a little bit of glue. ... show more

I've put together a lot of cheap furniture from amazon, and the assembly can be a nightmare. Especially coming from china where they don't always do the best translations on budget products. This desk was incredibly quick and easy to put together, the instructions were very concise, and there was also an included QR code to scan for users to watch a video of the desk being assembled for extra visual aide. Other users complained about cosmetic damage from shipping, so it can probably be a bit of a gamble but at this price point I felt comfortable rolling those dice and I'm pleased to say it arrived without a scratch on any of the boards. Despite only weight 45 pounds when assembled, the desk is extremely sturdy, it does not wobble, shake, creak or bend with a full desktop setup and array of items strewn across the top. Here's my one complaint: I have my extremely large and heavy PC tower on the little shelf underneath the desk and it supports it just fine, although I did find that one of the legs (labeled the U piece in shipping and in the instructions) is far shorter than the other three legs and did not reach the floor without a support I added. Had I not been able to find an adequate solution to this, the weight of the PC tower may have broken shelf without four points of contact, who knows. It was an odd oversight to be sure. ... show more

I'm an older female and had absolutely no problems putting this desk together by myself. I didn't need any power tools, everything is screwed in using a provided tool. There are written and photo instructions on how to put it together. I find looking at pictures earlier so I just went that way with the constructing of the table. Good choice for a temporary desk. The one I got seemed packaged rather sloppily. The factory in China must have been low on workers that day because my hardware was organized very oddly. When fully assembled, the desk had a good wobble to it. When I called the help line, i was met with eternal hold. You most definitely need patience to assemble this but for the price, if you can figure out the directions, its worth it! I got this to replace an oldschool desk with a pull-out drawer, and the difference was night and day. You get a ton of space with this desk, and you can surround yourself with monitors and gadgets and still have space leftover for a plate of food and a drink! The little side-piece for holding your computer is just a hair too small for a full-size tower case, but you can work around that by getting bigger feet for the computer or using a slightly larger board there. My only complaint is that you have to be extremely careful during some of the middle steps of construction -- there are a few long supports that can hang down, and I actually had one of the screw sockets pop off while I was building it -- the one I had trouble with was rusted and was probably doomed for failure, but I got a replacement unit and had no issues afterwards! All in all, this is a fantastic value for anyone looking to get a snazzy new desk with a ton of space without breaking the bank. ... show more
