These shoes are sooo comfortable for lengthy walking. I work in a hospital and have to walk on average over 6,000 steps or more, daily. After two weeks of wearing, the leather has loosened to a great fit. They were tight at first, so I would suggest breaking them in before wearing for lengthy walking. The leather did crease slightly in the lower toe area, however the crease does not take away from the look of the shoe. I have worn the “no show” socks with these. You will need to play around with them, but they work with these loafers. I wear these loafers with dress slacks with an average hem (I’m 5’7). If these shoes came in a different color than what is offered, I would buy a pair in each. My back no longer hurts and my feet/ankles don’t swell with all the walking and stair climbing. Comfortable is the first for 5 stars, Fit is the 2nd 5 starts, shoe quality and value for the money are the following 5 stars. As for slip resistance, due to the floors (waxed) I am walking on in a hospital setting, there is no issue with slipping. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These shoes are fabulous and incredibly comfortable. They were a bit difficult to get on at first, but after a few wears they slip on easily. I’ve worn them almost every day since I got them two weeks ago and have received so many compliments. The three-tone design works with almost anything. These look fantastic - high quality leather and just the look I wanted. I originally ordered a 9 Regular, my usual size, but it was too long and slipped off my heel when I walked. I returned the 9s and ordered an 8.5 Wide instead. The length fits great while the rest of the shoe is roomy. I haven't had any problems with blisters or a prolonged break-in period, though I will need to buy some anti-slip stick-ons for the soles as they are very slick with zero traction whatsoever. ... show more

    • Size DOWN, then DOWN AGAIN!

I bought these to replace a nearly identical pair that I’ve had and resoled twice, because a new pair was cheaper than a resole. I should’ve kept my old pair!! The sizing on at least the pair I bought was at LEAST 2 sizes too large! I had a 5.5, bought a new 5.5, and the new ones were almost a FULL INCH LARGER. Since my old pair had stretched to the comfort of old slippers in the many years I’d had them, the size difference if my old pair was less worn would have been even greater! I’d love to have exchanged for a smaller size, but there isn’t one. I get sizing vanity and inflation to make people who’ve gained a little feel better about clothing, but FEET just haven’t changed that much in 20 years! And women with small feet get the shaft from nearly every maker: either they’ve stopped making sizes smaller than a 6 - entirely - or UP-sized them when they do. Do you think we just quit having feet, or wanting to shop outside of children’s shoes?! ... show more
