I have to admit, I did not know a lot about Coco Chanel, this book is a delightful easy read with lovely illustrations . I completely enjoyed this little book and the story it told. Would recommend.

The book arrived in typical Amazon packaging and was in good condition. My complaint is that this is clearly intended to be a decorative piece rather than to be read. The pages, while beautiful from the outside, tear away from the spine if you fully open the book. The binding is terrible. It feels as if it is bound like post-it notes rather than a quality glue. The content was disappointing as well. I understand that this is I intended to display the illustrator’s work but I expected more facts and information about Coco Chanel than it contains. Aside from looking pretty on a shelf or table, it is closer to a poorly made children’s picture book. Most pages just have a small paragraph of vague facts. Some only a single sentence. If you are only interested in using it to display, it has beautiful silver edged pages with a thin, attractive red strip behind the binding and a very attractive cover. ... show more

This is an AMAZING little book. It not only provides a short background of the making of the Chanel empire, it captures the style of the designer herself. I thoroughly enjoyed it and all of the illustrations. Captivating! If you love fashion design, you’ll love this book.
