Description

USS Missouri (BB-63) is an American Iowa-class battleship also called "Mighty Mo" or "Big Mo". It was the last battleship ever built by the United States. On September 2, 1945, the act of surrender of the Empire of Japan was signed, officially ending World War II. The ship took part in the Battle of Iwo Jima and Okinawa and in the Korean War. The USS Missouri was only decommissioned in 1992 and has since been open to the public as a museum ship. A model made of COBI construction blocks in a scale of 1: 300 is a real challenge for all builders. It consists of 2655 elements and requires several hours of intense and exciting assembly. It is exactly 92 cm (36.2") long and 20.5 cm (8") high. It has movable elements such as artillery turrets and gun barrels, propellers and a rudder. High-quality prints make it possible to capture even more details that make the block-shaped ship look very attractive! Thanks to the intuitive instructions based on detailed illustrations, the construction is simple and does not cause any problems. The set includes a special block display stand with the name of the ship printed on the plate. The ship looks very impressive on it, no one will be unimpressed! The legendary USS Missouri will be a unique decoration of each collection of history, maritime vessels and military enthusiasts. Build history, piece by piece, with COBI.

  • Fun build of the Might Mo.
This was a great build. Every piece needed was just included and there were many of them. Each step was broken up into 8 separate bags of pieces each themselves full of separate bags so you weren’t dumping out hundreds of little pieces to sort each time. The blocks and tiny parts are well made and the ship was a blast to build. It definitely took some time and the instructions were very clearly drawn to make it as simple as possible. Definitely a build for a more experienced builder regardless of age but not for a small child for certain. It’s a huge ship when complete and well worth the money spent in both the appearance and the fun building it. I have included pics of various states of the build and a sample of what one bag of parts sorted out looks like. Would build another of their products in a heartbeat. ... show more

  • Above and beyond
Let me tell you, Cobi is the pinnacle of lego style models. From the custom curved pieces, to the images printed on the bricks, (so much better than trying to put on stickers). The manual is very easy to read along with the numbered bags. once completed, This is a beautiful model for display and has a honored place on my fireplace mantle. ... show more

  • Good model
This is an amazing model as since this is the missouri it even has the little golden plaque on one of the pieces commemorating the signing of the peace treaty that ended ww2 but I have some issues with this model the first being that there is no wooden deck, not a real wooden deck but pieces on the deck colored to look like the deck! The HMS Hood model has a wooden deck, The Gneisenau model has a wooden deck and the Yamato has one but not this model and there are other issues too like the fact that the placement of some of the small AA guns aren't accurate but overall I'd give it a 7/10 really good model but the lack of a wooden deck holds it back and some of the AA guns placement isnt accurate to the Missouri herself but to soem of her sisters it is. ... show more

  • $250.00 Disappointment
I have purchased two of these, both have been returned. Never got past the first bag before having to stop because of missing pieces. For a cost of $250.00 I expected a proper, complete set. Didn't happen. Very disappointing. Bob Jayne
