The box had some damage to the outside and from other reviews I knew it was likely to have some damage. I checked many websites and this exact model was cheaper on Amazon by $20-$40 from everywhere else. It was only damaged in one place so I chose to keep it and have that be the bottom, as I planned to use it landscape anyway. It was easy to put together and looks great as a closet organizer.     • Dowels not quite right

Not Amazon’s fault, but seemed to get “LOST” by UPS. Box was beat up and taped back together. This is the second one purchased. First went together much easier. The dowel pins just aren’t quite long enough. Easier to buy new ones than return it

Definitely measure your space before you buy! But this is so versatile! It can be used either horizontal or vertical. Got it for an amazing price. I should have bought 2. My wife assembled it and it’s very sturdy. Don’t circumvent any steps and it will be stable and strong. I bought it for my LP collection but she absconded with it and is using it for decorative storage in our bedroom. The size of the cubbies is perfect for LP’s - 13 x 13 x 13. The finish, although a simple vinyl veneer, looks great. I’ll have to wait bc the price shot up tremendously since I bought mine. Like I said, I should have purchased two!! ... show more

When I moved states originally I was in a temporary place and just needed something easy for clothes storage. So I used wire cube storage rack to piece together my ideal size dresser with those cloth boxes. They worked well so I kept even once I found my permanent residence. But after years of use the wire cubes finally started to break down. I still didn't want an actual dresser so I found this bookshelf. And I couldn't be happier. It's prefect. I have a lot of clothes and not much closet storage so I bought 2. It fits the 13x13 boxes perfectly. They poke out about a half inch which isn't a big deal for me. Very sturdy. Super easy to assemble. Did come damaged. Box was also damaged when it arrived to my house but the piece had to have been damaged before packing in box. Super cute in my daughters room.
