I review an item based on what to expect for the money. Don't expect high quality wood here, but for the price, it's really good looking and good for displaying light objects. I've got this in my office (which is a physical therapy gym) and I put balls, yoga foam pads, blocks and up to 8 lb dumb bells in the cubicles. The back is just a piece of cardboard that is nailed in so you have to be careful when you push things to the back. They really should have given a piece of MDF for the back instead. You need a power drill to start the holes before nailing in the back piece as it is impossible to nail it in even with force (because you'll end up bending a nail). The reason why I bought this shelf is because the height is absolutely perfect for a standing desk as well as for storing and displaying objects. We have two of these in our office gym and my co-worker and I are 5 ft tall and 5'3" and we both can use this as standing desks. They are they right width also to put a mouse pad off to the side.

I cannot tell fully explain how upset I am about this purchase. I was so excited to get this moveable cube storage unit. When it arrived, everything seemed normal and I started setting it up. I could follow the directions quite easily. THE PROBLEM arrived when the side of the unit DID NOT COME WITH HOLES. There were no holes to put 4 of the parts requested in assembly. Furthermore, there were no holes for the moveable shelves to be placed. My husband, THANKFULLY, had the tools to put in the holes. Unfortunately, even with that extra work, the screws in the other parts wouldn't even fit correctly. There were empty spaces that I could not tighten any further on the top part where the pegs and screws were assembled. If you tried to fix any of the imperfections yourself, the boards started busting at the holes. After deciding to return this unfortunate piece, I just became more upset with each piece I had to disassemble. This should've been an easy piece to put together. Instead, it turned out to be a nightmare of a project. Incredibly disappointed with the quality of this piece. All of that said, I have another piece of 9-cube storage at school, made of the same material. It's sturdy and has held up in the past 14 years, very well. I expect it to last my entire teaching career. THIS PIECE, however, was created with too many mistakes in the factory. Extremely poor manufacturing.

I needed a place to put books and random tings in my office and this is amazing. It assembled in no time and I love the fact you can change the shelf heights to accommodate whatever you need it for. It also looks nicer than most pressed wood shelves that you can buy. I will get another one of these if I need nore shelf space and I suggest you get this if you need one!

It was super easy to put together. My fiance usually is the one to do all the furniture crafting so I was so proud of myself that I was able to put this together all by myself. The size is just right for putting my foldable storage cubes into. When it comes to space we need every bit we can in our room, and so this shelf allows me to store my clothes without taking up a giant amount of room like a normal dresser usually does. It's more modern looking too which is just another plus. The only thing I don't like is the middle shelves are held up by these little pegs that constantly fall out of the holes and so when I get home sometimes I find one of the dogs bumped it and the shelf alone with everything that was on it is not on the floor. I've seen other cube organizers and they use pegs that have the ability to hook themselves or anchor themselves or some even have to insert points to secure the shelf and prevent then from falling out so easy. Seems like it would be a simple and easy improvement. If it wasn't for that it would be an awesome shelf, great for saving space and organizing. The color is even modern and good looking. But what good is a shelf if it's on the ground all the time you know

This thing is kind of a piece of shit. I searched literally everywhere for a bookcase with these dimensions, in this color, where you could adjust the shelves. I like them being uneven and couldn’t find that anywhere. I’m 9 months pregnant and put this together solo, pretty easy.. The washers are kind of a bitch. I left the backing off, they want you to nail it on, looks fine with no backing.. Put the little pegs in the holes and shelves on and a few random pegs kept falling out. Got some wood glue and glued them in place and then the shelves. A few areas the wood is already lifting up.. You definitely need to secure this to the wall. Overall it’s adorable and exactly what I wanted for my baby’s room, but I would have paid 4x this for something better quality wood.

Love them, perfect for what I needed. Material is a bit cheap but the shelves move. They were to narrow to lay the consoles down. But this displays them perfect anyway. Put it together and leave it alone and it's fine. I need one more but I don't think it will fit.

I wish I would have spent more money to get a better quality shelf. It looks as described. It arrived appearing used and returned or was scratched during manufacturing. It was easy to put together. It cracks vey easy. Some screws didn’t tighten so it’s very wobbly and loose. The backing is only colored on one side so have to put it against the wall. It would be a pain to take it apart and pack it to return and it’s going to wok for what I wanted if for but I wouldn’t recommend and would not buy it again. Also, it arrived via fedex and the driver put it against my or so when I opened my door it fell inside an on my foot and slammed the open into a table breaking an antique. But that’s fedex for you and their fault.

Overall, this organizer has fulfilled my needs. It was for my daughters closet to help keep everything neat. I really like the adjustable shelves as she has some books that are taller than most and they fit in there with ease. The back board was nice because it was all one big piece as compared to some where it's the individual squares that need to be tacked. The quality of material is decent, even if it is MDF. I recommend buying it for the kids' rooms just because of the material and how rough kids are in general.
