  • Skin and Wound Care 7th Edition, Tess
I currently work for a new company entering the wound care market. I am also a registered nurse and have broad experience in multiple inpatient and outpatient areas of healthcare. I can say with complete confidence, that this guide is the best tool for use by anyone interested in understanding wound care and the products that fill the marketplace. There are great disease state overviews, assessment criteria and therapuetic intervention for promotion of wound health. Additionally, the catagorization of each type of therapy into subgroups allows the product knowledge to be easily understood and quantified. I believe this guide to be a tremendous resource for health care providers or anyone who wants to understand more about the growing concerns and costs of wound therapy. ... show more

This book is very comprehensive and readable. I found it superior to other wound care books- much more informative and presented in a very understandable format. I highly recommend for those studying for Wound Care Certification. It is not for the layperson, but more the healthcare professional.

  • Great reference book
Small enough to carry with me. Great resource for wound treatment and supplies. I wish there were more color pictures of wounds though. I had to take all the pages off the spiral binding put the back cover on ans replace all the pages. The pages are thin and they tear easily so the back cover is essential ... show more

  • Wound Care Companion
I have been using this book for years. The first few chapters are a general review of the basic science of skin and wounds. Two thirds of the book give concise reviews of the plethora of wound care products, category by category. This is a terrific book. This edition includes a section on VAC therapy. ... show more

  • Awesome resource
As an RN in an outpatient infusion and wound center, I use this resource a lot. I like how easy it is to look up products and how the book is laid out. Pricey but worth the cost.

  • Its about products
This manual is mostly about Wound Care Products, not about treatment. It does have good pictures. I keep it as a desk reference for when some product comes up that I am not familiar with.
