Our two piece clamp-on shaft collars are similar to the one-piece collars as far as how they work. Two piece clamp on collars come apart in two halves for easy installation and maintenance They promise not to mar the shaft. They clamp evenly around the shaft therefore providing excellent holding power. Made of carbon steel with a Black-Oxide finish to offer mild corrosion resistance. Have a heavy duty 1 1/16” Ivanko Barbell. This size collar fit perfectly. Needed inside collars and thought these would work. I Use the bar primarily in a landline attachment and put two collars back to back for strength. Have loaded up to 300lbs no issues at all. Works great!

I did what many others did and used this on an office chair with a broke height adjuster. Now it stays up no more sinking. Of course it is more ridged when you sit down, with just the seat foam to cushion you, but unless you slam into your chair it shouldn’t be an issue. Like many other reviewers, I used this as a quick fix for a failed office chair cylinder. The collar is solid, sturdy and easy to use without any sharp edges or grease covering which are the signs of poor machining and quality control.
