The rectangular baking dish was what we ordered. It is especially handy when fixing rolled cooking meat for large company plans. It was only disappointing when it did not come with the cover. This style of dish is almost impossible to find a cover to replace. Somehow, the appearance of aluminum covering the dish when served doesn't match the picture I had in my mind. The dish ordered is listed as a 11.75" x 9.5" baking dish, which is a rare size but 11" x 9" is a sought after size. The dish I received measures 11.75" x 7.75". I returned it three times: First the lid was broken and size didn't match. Second the lid wasn't included and size didn't match. Third nothing broken but size still didn't match. Although I already have the 11.75" X 7.75" V&B dish w/o the lid, I opted to keep the final replacement b/c it was still a smart purchase to get the dish and the lid for $10 less than I paid for the dish by itself. I'm still looking for an 11" x 9" porcelain baking dish... UPDATE 10/13/21: Saw that a size 13" was offered and so ordered it as well as an 11" round, both were supposed to have lids but neither arrived w/one. Removing two more stars for the hassle of returning one for a refund and the other for an exchange, maybe. Pretty ridiculous... ... show more

This 4 piece baking dish set is clearly made out of premium porcelain. It is rated from -22 degrees F up to 500 degrees F. It is microwave safe, scratch resistant (resistant does not mean it will not scratch, so you should be careful), easy to clean, and food safe because there are no BPA chemicals used. The best thing about this dish is that it is an all in one in terms of preparing, cooking, serving, storing, and finally easy cleaning. Great product. Made in Germany. ... show more
