I agree with others who say they have used this for years and now it is worthless. Watered down so much I have to use much more just to get it to lather. I will be looking for another face soap. Don't bother wasting your money.

Seems to be effective- it’s gentle without leaving my face greasy. Most sensitive skin cleansers seem to not clean well- you take a makeup wipe after and there is still tons of makeup and residue. This seems better, has a very subtle smell, and keeps my skin more clear. The REGULAR version of this cleanser (orange bottle) is TERRIBLE for my skin and led to consistent cystic acne. ... show more

    • MAJOR Product Change. Been using this for over a decade… something major has changed.

I have been an avid user of this product for over a decade and it has been my primary face wash the whole time. Over the past year, the product has been changing where it used to be a bright orange, and slowly has gotten more clear with that, I could obviously tell that the formula has been changing, I ordered a couple days ago and noticed it was super watery and actually smelled kind of bad. I thought it was just a fluke and requested a replacement from Amazon. Once my replacement bottle arrived, I noticed it was slightly thicker, but still had a gross smell overall (it literally smells like mold or stagnant water). I also noticed that the bottle changed in the past year which means that my suspicions are most likely correct. It’s been a good run Clean & Clear but I might have to look elsewhere for a different face wash. I have oily, acne-prone skin that’s also sensitive, so I need an oil-free face wash that deeply cleanses the excess oil and pore-clogging dirt from my skin without being too harsh. I was a regular user of this Clean & Clear Sensitive Skin Facial Cleanser for many years because it was an effective deep-cleanser that didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. Over the past year or so, it became very hard to find this Clean & Clear face wash in the usual pharmacies, grocery stores and online retailers that used to always have it in stock. When it finally became available again several months later, the formula seemed to have changed. The previous version of this Clean & Clean Sensitive Skin face wash was thick and almost gel-like, but this new formula is thin and runny, and doesn’t feel as “soapy.” Plus, the new formula doesn’t get nearly as sudsy as the previous version when wet, so it doesn’t feel like it’s really washing/cleaning my skin. I have to use at least twice as much of this new face wash to feel like I’m getting the same cleaning power. And even then, I can still feel the oil remaining on my skin after washing, so I usually have to wash my face twice with this new formula in order for my skin to get anywhere close to clean. It seems like this face wash is barely cleaning the surface of my skin, much less penetrating deeply to lift excess oil, dirt, etc., out of my pores. I’ve also noticed that I’m seeing more pimples and acne breakouts on my face since I’ve started using this cleanser again, so, as the saying goes, the proof is in the pudding. I wouldn’t recommend this new Clean & Clear Sensitive Skin Facial Cleanser formula for anyone needing an effective, deep-cleansing face wash. I wish they would bring the old version back! In addition, I ordered 3 bottles of this facial cleanser, and when they arrived, the spouts on all 3 bottles were broken. I had to use the spout from my old bottle of this Clean & Clear face wash (the previous formula) … fortunately, it fit on the new bottle. Amazon needs to do a better job of packaging this item so that the bottle spout doesn’t break during shipping. Grade: C- ... show more
