  • Almost famous
This is by far the best tool bag I've ever used. I'm a hvac service tech, and this bag works well, perfect number of pockets, great layout, I love it. but I wear out the bottom in less than 2 years by dragging it in crawlspaces. If this bag had a slick thick plastic bottom, It'd be perfect. It would also keep it dry while sitting in wet yards. It'd be worth the extra cost. ... show more

  • Absolutely The Best For A Very Large Number Of Tools, Visible At A Glance
I am a DIY home re-modeler, always involved in some type of project around the house, including a lot of minor repairs. I have used quite a few different tool boxes and carriers, but had not found one yet that could carry the large number of misc tools which I prefer to have at my side when working. And those which did, were closed top or not enough compartments to keep everything visible to the eye, so I had to dig deep through multiple tools at the bottom of a bag, to find what I need. And I hate running out to the garage shop to retrieve something I need, slowing me down and wasting steps. Well not anymore since I found this little gem of a bag. It has more pockets and compartments than most people would really need, unless you are like me. What I love about this one is that there are a large number of pockets on the outside, in a large variety of sizes, so I can load them up with every imaginable tool for repairs and remodeling (short of power tools of course). I can spot "at a glance" exactly which tool I want to grab at any moment. And since it has a rather large central area which is not segmented in the middle, I can throw my cordless drill and my cordless battery operated screwdriver in that middle section, along with odd shaped things like a speed square, etc. ,which pretty much completes 90% of my needs for mobility. And as many tools that I currently have in this thing, I have used very few of the copious number of additional pockets on the inside rim of the bag. So it could easily accommodate quite a few more tools. As it is pictured in the attached, it is heavy, but easy to carry with the central handle which has a rigid bar inside of the canvas sleeve. There is also shoulder strap which I don't use. Easier to lug this kind of weight around, in hand, off the my side. Not to mention this thing is built rock solid with heavy duty materials and stitching. Buy this rig. You will not be disappointed in any way. I can't think of thing to improve it and I certainly can't find this kind of carry capacity in any of the big box stores (looked at HD, Lowes, Menards, Harbor Freight, as well as a lot online and no one comes close to the value capacity of this one). ... show more

  • 20 inch tool tote bag.
I purchased this awesome CLC 20 inch tool bag on Amazon. It holds all my tools my sockets screw gun attachments also my 4 and half 5 inch Milwaukee grinder blades which I purchased on Amazon as well. Amazon pulls out all the stops they sell amazing products and if you have a problem with your order they try there very best to accommodate you and keep you happy about your purchase even if there was a mistake they take blame. Almost every product I've purchased on Amazon I either loved it or it really worked for me. This tool bag is as good as it looks and some so many pockets and storage spots. I would recommend this if you want to get to your tools easily and keep track of them. They are always so easy to grab and put back in it'd spot. Great product by CLC. ... show more

  • Strong carry bag
large enough to carry almost every tool you may use... and that's the down side. I can overload this quickly, but it does hold up and with the shoulder strap, I can move it around. Maybe I need to thin out what I carry on a daily basis? I work on roof top ac's and I can lad everything except a ship vac in it, and go up the ladder. ... show more

  • Great work bag
I use this bag all day long for my job. It works great, and it's a pleasure to use. Only one complaint - the shoulder strap could have a better design (maybe more support for when the tool bag is heavy, and better clips - once in a while the clips come off, not sure how I do it, but at least never while carrying the bag). ... show more

  • Vast improvement over my 5 gallon pail "bucket bag"
Recently, I had a very long day installing period interior doors in a 100 year old home and when I got back home, I opened my tailgate on my truck. My 5 gallon pail with a "bucket bag" filled with hand tools rolled out the back of the truck and continued to spin 20 feet down the driveway and turned my driveway into what looked like a hand tool yard sale. That was it for the bucket set up. It had been a pain for a long time - don't waste your $$ on those things. I surveyed proper "tool bags' for months in person and online and finally bought this CLC model. I went with CLC because I still own a leather tool belt from CLC I bought in college (the 1970's) when I was working my way through school rebuilding burned out houses. That belt is bleached out and beat to death but it's still 100% functional, it still fits and I like the 45 years of "patina" it displays. The good and the bad with this new CLC tool bag - Pro: -Good size, not too large but big enough to carry my most commonly used hand tools. I'm getting too old to make 30 trips up and down stairs - I need to have all my most common hand tools next to me. -Non-tip. This bag definitely solves my "bucket bag tipping issues" -Wide, comfortable handle, lost of accessory pockets and pocket folds for all manner of pliers, cutters, wire strippers and utility knives. -One large pocket with a small plastic compartment box that I use for wire nuts and small hardware which is really handy -Surprising capacity - I'm amazed how much I can get into this bag Con -The shoulder strap is absolute cheesy junk. I'd pay an extra $10 for a bag with a real shoulder strap. I replaced it with an old heavy duty luggage shoulder strap I had from when I used to fly 200,000 miles a year. CLC dropped the ball on the shoulder strap. Overall this bag has been a welcome improvement over my bucket bag, it stays put in the back of my truck, saves me 1000 steps a day and it's well made. Hope that helps! ... show more
