This seat is comfortable. I have a 13-foot SIB that I’m using it in, and it has proven reliable when cruising the canals all day. It was easy to install on the swivel—four screws, and you’re done. The base is plastic, but so far, it hasn’t shown any signs of weakness. As for sun damage in the Florida sun, anything will wear eventually, but I don’t let it get to that point. Using 303 protectant helps. The seat folds down compactly, making it easy to stow away when traveling. I’ve been using this seat for nearly two months without any issues. I love the extra cushion that this has, as well as the button to snap it down, providing some extra security when strapped to the top of my SUV.
