    • Not soft leather but stiff and size is larger than what I have worn before.

I have bought Clarks in the past so had no qualms about ordering from Amazon but these shoes are stiff leather and are longer than the size I already own. I am counting on the leather softening as I wear them and will use an insert to compensate for the size.

I've ordered Clark's 7 Wide before, and they fit perfectly. These were way too big, so I sent them back and ordered a 6 1/2 wide... the length was okay, but the heel was so high I slipped right out of them. Very disappointed, I love the look of these shoes.
