I use a standing workstation at home and in the office. As a result, I'm on my feet the majority of the time. I do this to avoid back issues, but eventually my feet took the brunt of it. I was looking for shoes designed to be worn while standing and walking frequently. I literally have never heard or read a negative review of Clarks shoes. I bought the loafer in black and hoped for the best. They are fantastic. No break-in needed, I walked a mile the first day I had them with no issues. A week later, I bought the loafer in brown! Just arrived today. Probably only the gussets and the exterior heel padding are textiles. Made in India. Insole not removable without tearing the bottom (I did it) , since entire bottom is glued for reasons I do not understand. True to size. Color is lighter and slightly reddish compared to photo. Nice pebble grain. Acceptable heel slip for a slip-on, but if shoe stretches, I'll need heel pads due to my narrow ankles. Appears to be a good value for $60. ... show more

I've been a fan of Clarks for a long time. They are easily the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. MY previous Waves (I don't recall the exact model) finally gave up the ghost after about 8 years. The sole started separating and while I may be able to glue them back together, they are no longer up to the task of my daily trek back & forth to work - about 5 miles round trip. The first thing I noticed is the sole feels cheap. Instead of the high density rubber I'm used to, these feel somewhere between foam and plastic. However, after the first week they feel fine and seem to be holding up so only time will tell. As long as I gert at least a year out of theses I will be pleased and purchase again. ... show more
