I felt okay with that because these have a nice thick sole I didn’t worry about something puncturing thru. They fit nice and snug with ability to draw string close to foot so no slip for a blister . Purchased a size 3 shoe and a size 2 shoe came in the package. After making a quick return, I reordered a new pair that came in the correct size. Shoe is of a good quality and light weight. Easy to pull on. I feel they run a little small in size but my son says they are comfortable. Will update review once he uses in the ocean in 2 weeks.

These shoes are amazing! Incredibly comfortable, easy to put on, and brightly colored. The one major downside is that they do not float. I bought them for a river trip with my son and at one point his foot came out of the shoe. The shoe sunk and was lost forever. A similar incident happened at the beach. While we had them they were great though!

Bought these for my 9 year old kid to go swimming and camping. He wears them everywhere. These are his only shoes he is willing to wear now. They did great for walking in a lake with rocks and shells. He puts socks on and wears them for everyday wear around the neighborhood, riding his bike, scooter, or running around.
