We needed another outdoor camera for a different part of our yard. This camera is perfect. It installed easily and even connected to our existing apps so we can see the view any time, along with our other cameras. It feels a lot more secure to have our outdoor spaces on camera. The only thing we had difficulty with was getting the SD card formatted, but it was user error and it actually formatted quickly and now it is ready to record any events. The thing I like the best is being able to rotate the camera to see a much larger part of the area. The first 2 photos are from screen shots on my phone. The resolution is very good for the price range. The camera was not moved between shots, showing how easy it is to change the view, right from your phone. The last photo is taken from outdoors to show the current setup.. The solar panel is quite adequate to power the camera. You’ll get notification in the morning when the battery gets charged from the sun. Even in the sometimes sunless northwest US, it works great. ... show more

It's amazing to me what a value this camera is, including not only the camera which would have been worth the price, but also the solar cell to keep the battery charged. Set up was easy and intuitive, being I already have three Wansview cameras and the great Wansview app allows me to control all my indoor and outdoor cameras with the same app. So far the battery has kept well charged, allowing me to mount the camera without the hassle of extension cords or exterior wiring, a big plus. Maintains a good signal to my wifi, allowing me day and night crystal clear clarity, and allows me to pan and tilt to examine other areas of my yard. Haven't tried the human detection feature yet, as it is more important to me to watch my kids and pets while they play outside, even in low light. Great camera & package! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is great little camera with a ton of features for a small price. First one of the most overlooked feature is the ability to move the view of the camera through the app. You can move side to side, up and down. It actually turns the whole camera with motors built in! Then set a favorite home return position. This is great for wanting to view a different part of the yard or driveway or just being able to scan your property from anywhere in the world. Next is the speaker, you can talk through the unit (hey get out of my yard). Or set up the alarm and it will play an alert. Next is the built in led lights that can be triggered with a detection of set objects. Mounting this unit came with a nice clip on unit that can mounted two ways, from the top or the rear. Not included in the instructions is how to remove the rear mount from the camera. It just pulls off, it’s held by two strong clips. I used the top mount then snapped the camera onto it. The antennas are moveable and I pointed them down. The solar panel comes with its own mount and screws which is fully adjustable too.Both mounts also come with a template for the screw holes, and mine came with 3 bags of screws. I added a 128g micro sd card that inserts in the bottom of the unit for event recordings. A cloud service is also available right through the app. Connecting the unit to the app is super easy. Enter in you information then following the instructions just point your phone at the QR code and your up and running. It even talks to you saying it worked, pretty cool. Time will tell how long the built in battery lasts and if it is able to be changed in the future. For the price of 50$ this is an unbelievable valve of all the features you get in a small attractive package. I have a few other cameras from this company and they all work very well, have a great picture and work seamlessly with the app. Picture quality is great day and night, with the built in night vision. I’m looking forward to adding a few more units for total coverage of the property and being able to sleep well at night knowing we are protected day and night. ... show more

Like other cameras that use the Wansview app, this camera was easy to setup right out of the box. The instructions on how to remove the camera from the mount could have been spelled out more clearly - you just pull it off with some force, but I was afraid of damaging it. The camera is heavy/solid feeling, so keep this in mind when you are hanging high on a ladder with camera, mount, impact driver, and screws in hand. Overall, I needed a few trips up and down the ladder to mount both the camera and solar panel - about 18 feet over my side yard. The camera comes with mounting templates, but they aren’t really necessary. Just line up the mounts and go worked just fine for me. ... show more
