So I bought this Orb for my middle son's 9th birthday. I have three children ages 12,9, &8. I didn't think they would take such an interest in it as they did. Even my husband and I can't seem to let just the kids play with this. It is not just a toy either. It's an excellent exercise for all who play. You have to run/jump/catch it throughout. It has gotten us all up and out of the house or inside the house playing together! It is suuuuuuper lightweight and because of that, we can play with it inside when it's really windy or raining outside without worrying it's going to knock over objects or damage walls/electronics. Of course, if you are playing outside because it is so lightweight it can be taken away a little by the wind. Another great feature is when it drops on the ground/hits multiple objects it turns off so it's not like constantly flying/rolling away from you. It's easy to turn on and off and charge. The only drawback is battery life but even with that being said it still lasts a good bit of time and charges fairly quickly. It is TOTALLY WORTH IT! This item is all-around fun for all ages and it's a little hard to figure out how to get it to do the tricks but I think once we get the hang of it it will be super easy. Purchased this because of all the positive reviews. Got this for a 9 year old . I had difficulty. Maybe it’s me. Kept landing on the floor. Takes practice and practice.. which I ran out of and then the charge died. Everyone seemed to have different abilities. The directions are horrible. Looked online at the videos. I'm a failure at the boomerang effect. If you have no patience like my 9 year old.. and there’s no instant success… don’t bother. It will sit, be a waste. The price!!!! It changes daily. I brought this item to have some fun, get a bit of exercise and, hopefully, improve hand/eye coordination. The ball as proven to satisfy all these wants. Until you get the hang of it, you will find yourself running all over the place trying to catch a manic ball bouncing in all directions. Fortunately, although the ball is very light, it appears to be very sturdy. Since the ball is so light, it has not knocked anything over indoors nor has it marred any of the walls. Outdoors, it will give you a run for your money :) Fortunately, the ball automatically stops trying to "fly" after hitting too many obstacles. A few drawbacks include: battery charge does not last very long, only about 15 mins, but it does recharge quickly; the positioning of the switch makes the ball difficult to turn ON/OFF (and to insert the charging cord); an outdoor breeze will make the ball difficult to control. ALL in ALL, it's lots of fun and I would recommend this for adults and kids alike (just keep it away from pets)! ... show more
