These worked really well for room darkening. The hubs has to sleep in pitch dark and our prev curtains have just wore out. I purchased the 2 long panels and was able to cover 1 standard size bedroom window and 3 half standard size windows with good measurements, a scissors and some fabric glue because I don't sew. The fabric is very soft, not stiff. It lays nice and is heavy enough to have the windows open but it not fly all around with a little breeze thereby defeating the purpose of room darkening. The curtains are nice, soft fabric that hangs well and is not heavy in weight. They do filter a good bit of light but are definitely not “blackout” curtains. They hang easily and as expected for a set of curtains. I got these to match my spare bedroom that has multiple shades of gray but they really didn’t match any of the shades I had in there and were a lot shinier than I had expected. Seems to be good quality at the seams and stitching is tight. I have not washed yet so I am not sure how the silky fabric will wash and dry, but I feel like it may need the steamer to straighten them out. ... show more

The pair of curtains are a good price and a nice replacement for real silk without the cost or trouble with cleaning silk. These are machine washable. I never dry my curtains in a dryer. I always hang them back up to dry and have never had problems with any curtains that way. They have a nice sheen and allow some light in while still protecting your privacy. They are lined on the backside with a darker fabric to help with that. The sewing was even and done well except for two spots that had some extra thread. No biggie as those were easily clipped off. This window is our only source of light so the panels are meant to finish the window without cutting the light. There are a few bad stitches but nothing you’d notice unless inspecting the curtains and nothing I would be concerned about in the washing machine. I think it’s going to take a few washes to get these wrinkles out. I gave my iron away a long time ago. LOL Overall I’m very happy with the look of these curtains. First off these are very pretty practical curtains but just so you know these do not black out the room as they are light filtering. They will get darker but don’t expect blackout curtain effect with these. The satin look is pretty but it’s definitely a lot more shiny than I was expecting.
