Bought 3 of these shirt dresses. I LOVE them! The material is the same quality as a cotton dress shirt, it might be a little too sheer in the bright sunlight, but I plan to wear a light slip underneath anyway. (There is enough room with a slip without being too tight.) The red is a light red, the blue is a medium light blue and the khaki is a light medium khaki. I bought SIZE MEDIUM and they hit to top of my feet. That is a perfect length for what I wanted. For reference, I am 5'1". The price is reasonable for this long shirt dress. For the price, this is quite a nice garment. First, it is cotton, and natural fibers frequently do not make it to the lower priced items. It is well stitched; the many buttons and buttonholes are well constructed; there are no loose threads. However, if you are trying to replicate the photos, you need to size up 2/3/4 times. I sized up one size but came nowhere near that full, blowsy look of the photos. I plan to wash it in cold water and hang to dry. It is loose and comfy but absolutely straight to the hem--which is a couple of inches above my ankle. I'm a bit disappointed about that, but I am going to keep this dress. For hot weather, over a bathing suit or relaxing at home, it will be loose, comfy, and cute. For $30 I can't complain. ... show more

It is cotton and the buttons actually button all the way. I bought this as another option for while healing from a double mastectomy, but I think I'll be using it forever because it is a lovely item. I am 5'2" and it reaches my ankles. In my opinion, the blue stripe is kind of pajama-ish, but will work this summer as a post-swim coverup! I might purchase in another color to dress up and wear while running errands or meeting out for lunch. I bought this dress because I was visiting a country where women have to dress "modestly". It's definitely modest - and also the most unflattering thing I own. It is *deeply* unflattering. I look like I belong in a religious cult that wants to make its women as unattractive as possible. My husband said I looked like Wee Willie Winkie and just needed a little cap and a candlestick to wander the streets. So, yeah, not great. However, it's also probably the most comfortable thing I own, so, I don't know. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Positive reviews supported my decision to purchase this. I was not disappointed. I’m between a size 12 & 14. After reading it was quite oversized, I went with a medium. Although it fits, it’s more of a regular shirt dress than the relaxed look I wanted. It does get narrow around stomach and hip area, but it wasn’t all that full on top. It isn’t sheer, however, you can see the outline of your legs when the light hits. Overall, well made, good quality fabric, nice design, wonderful pockets and very well priced. May reorder another color in the large to achieve the right look ... show more

I finally decided to purchase this for an upcoming trip and was pleasantly surprised that I like it. I wear an 8-10 and bought the medium. From the reviews I wasn’t sure which size would be right but I think the large would have been too much. It’s not as oversized as on model but it’s definitely very roomy. My only complaint is there are no buttons at the cuffs, I can roll the sleeves but not as far up as I would have been able to if there had been a buttoned cuff. I will be wearing it as a coverup, It may be a bit heavy for this purpose but can always unbuttton the front some. ... show more
