I absolutely love this dress! The fabric is lightweight, breathable cotton, making it perfect for warm weather. It has a beautiful flow to it and is incredibly comfortable to wear all day. The relaxed fit is very flattering, and I love how effortlessly it can be dressed up with jewelry and sandals or worn casually as a beach cover-up or with sneakers. My only surprise was the length. I’m 5’6”, and it was a little shorter than I expected based on the photos. It still works for me, but if you’re hoping for a true floor-length maxi, keep that in mind. This dress is apparently THE look of the summer in my area. Since I ordered it, I've seen multiple other people wearing it in public. I guess that's because it's so easy to wear, and kind of a blank canvas for whatever look you want to create. I saw one woman with red shoes and a red bag, and she looked fabulous. I'm rocking mine with black loafers and a cross-body bag, or sandals and a giant leather tote. However you decide to style it, it's super-wearable, comfortable, and easy to care for. I wash in cool water and hang to dry. Mine still looks new. But if you want that crisp cotton look, you're going to have to iron it. I do wish it was a little more "wrinkle free." But for the price (around $30 at the time of my order), it's hard to give it less than five stars. ... show more

For the price, this is quite a nice garment. First, it is cotton, and natural fibers frequently do not make it to the lower priced items. It is well stitched; the many buttons and buttonholes are well constructed; there are no loose threads. However, if you are trying to replicate the photos, you need to size up 2/3/4 times. I sized up one size but came nowhere near that full, blowsy look of the photos. I plan to wash it in cold water and hang to dry. It is loose and comfy but absolutely straight to the hem--which is a couple of inches above my ankle. I'm a bit disappointed about that, but I am going to keep this dress. For hot weather, over a bathing suit or relaxing at home, it will be loose, comfy, and cute. For $30 I can't complain. ... show more

    • A bit of an A-line cut would do wonders

I bought this caftan/wearable tent for my mum, who wanted something cool, light and oversized to wear after showering during the warmer months when her condo reaches scary-hot indoor temps. Unlike the issues other reviewers had regarding poor construction, the garment we received was sewn well and the buttons all securely attached, though we had to invest some time in removing stay threads, which wasn't unexpected. The fabric wasn't scratchy as some others reported, and it will likely soften over time. My mother is hoping it that it will also shrink. So many garments -- even those sold under major brand names -- are now made overseas, and in different locations (because it's always wise to diversify your supply chain), even if the manufacturers are creating the same style/model garments. As a result, sizing and quality can differ widely, and that's possibly the reason the quality of these garments is so all over the place. Anyone who's made repeat purchases of their favorite bras and knickers or other apparel has probably been disappointed in the huge quality and sizing difference from one repeat order to another. Kudos to those who shared photos where they made this otherwise shapeless garment look almost chic. My otherwise fashionable mum chose a lager size than she'd normally wear, so we had a good laugh at how it magically transformed her into a frumpy-dumpy matron. If only it had even a bit of an A-line cut instead of straight all the way from top to bottom, it might give it more movement at the hem and eliminate the ballooning effect in the midriff area. My mum is 5'5" and the hem brushes the top of her feet. And the mid-section made her look like she'd instantly developed a man's very generous beer belly. Good for a giggle, but not exactly flattering. She's hoping a very hot wash will make it shrink a bit both in width and length, because she's decided to keep it as she'll only be wearing it in private, and it should at least be something cool to wear in the summer after a shower or a swim. ... show more

I am 5'9" and weigh 130 pounds. This dress is GREAT and it looks exactly like the picture here on me--because I got it TWO sizes larger than what I normally wear. I got black and white and size XXL when I normally wear M or L. Thanks to other reviews, I knew to order TWO SIZES UP from what I normally wear to get the very loose, long on me, and elegant fit. The cotton is a perfect weight, and the dress is very well made. It wrinkles but all cotton does. The wrinkles fall out as I wear it. It is very cool on hot days even! I'm thinking of ordering another one BEFORE the company stops making this particular dress because it is a very unusual one of a kind garment. ... show more

This is the most comfortable dress I’ve ever purchased off Amazon. The blue color is perfect for summer. The quality looks and feels very expensive . The fabric is soft and not scratchy on your skin or too thin like most items this price. I highly recommend for days when you just want something cute to throw on for shopping. I dressed it up for church with heels and then wore to a graduation with flat sandals for a more casual look. I ironed it and thought that it would hold up but it didn’t wrinkle much after wearing it a few hours. I originally ordered the medium and returned but re-ordered the small and fell in love with it. The loose fit makes it very comfortable. It is absolutely my new favorite summer dress. I will be ordering a second one in the taupe/tan color for my upcoming beach trip. I bought the black stripe in medium. It’s not a saturated black, comes off more dark grey. The striped style needs to be accessorized or it can easily looo like a pajama night shirt. It also does not look like the picture, it is much shorter. I am 5’9” and it hits me maybe mid calf at best. Fabric is slightly better than anticipated and is comfortable. I bought this as a post partum outfit to wear out that still allows access for breastfeeding and it has quickly become my summer go to for the functionality of my lifestyle. ... show more
